Rome: Total War

[FIXED]Mouse lag and 30 fps
The above happens to me when I play battles. The Campaign map is fine, as are the menus, but when I play battles the first thing I notice immediately is the cursor. It stutters and I found out that this happens the most, when it's rendered above the units. Other than that my fps feel low and kind of stutterish.

My specs:

Windows 10 Professional x64
Intel i5 6500
Radeon r9 380 oc 4gb
8gb RAM

Nevermind I managed to fix it. Go to Task Manager while running ROME then to the Details tab. Find romeTW as a process, right click and click "set affinity". Then make sure only one CPU-Core is selected. Now you can enter and enjoy the full glory of this brilliant game! :D

I love you. I spent the past hour trying all sorts of solutions. Upgraded drivers, turned off AA, ran in compatibility mode. This fixed it. Thanks for sharing your solution.

No problem, that's the exact reason I kept this post online. I'm glad I could help you! :D

It doesn't matter at all, just select one and you're good to go :)

Any other tips? I my fps is all over the place from 30 to 50. Is there a way to just get a solid 60 or is that impossible due to the game being so old?
