Here's one very famous mod for RTW, pretty gruelling though.

A campaign could take a month to complete, depending on your play style.

moddb.com/mods/europa-barbarorum/

Downloading it myself again to get it to work with my third copy of RTW which is this STeam version. So, need to know how to install mods again...

Hope this has helped you and you get great enjoyment from the game. I have over 15 years...

Hi, you can also mod the txt files of the game to set building bonuses, build times and cost. Units can be edited as well for defence, attack strength and unit count. I have done it this way for years and I don't make it easy. The smallest of battles is with 10,000 barbarians. My current game has been going on for a year and a half now. Me and Greece have a very bitter war going on. It makes the game feel very realistic. If you would like to have a go be aware that making a back up of the files is recommend, enter something where it shouldn't will crash the game on loading. I am happy to tell you which files to look at.

this mods/ europa-barbarorum have three big destitution :1) too much numbers of soldiers(ex:Rome1 have 80 hastati -and europa-barbarorum 240 soldier...etc ); 2) mecanic the game (in Rome1 mecanic the game is perfect);3) image per ensamble haze;and ...but this mod ablins to improve for to be the best; in my opinion
