Game Wont Launch wined3d.dll and Iibwine.dll missing?

Just reinstalled it cause i wanted to play/Try out some thigns and ran into this.

If i try to launch it from steam nothing happens. I can see the game starting up and the text is green for a second or two,indicating it is running but it then shuts off with no error report or anything.

IF i try to launch it from the files however i get the messange iw rote in title. IT says something about the code running etc cant continute because these 2 .dll files cant be found. wtf is going on. I looked it up online and found nothing.

I have windows 10 and i have tried to run it wiht admin,turn off anti alising and add a command to the launch settings as i found online but nothing works. AM i alone?

Hi, I have same problem as you do... Only difference is that I use windows 7 pro. It is weird because I had this game installed for a year once uninstalled it and nothing works. PLS help

hey so i sorta fixed it. I litearly just deleted like half the folders. I just sorta did it randomly so i dont know if which folder i deleted matterd.

I then tried to start the game. IT obviously says stuff is missing. So i then verified cache and it reainstalled the missing folders and stuff and boom it launched and worked fine as far as i can see.

Well I reinstallled whole steam and the first game I installed was rome total war because there is probably some problem with using directx9 and it wont run on directx11 due to games older age. But it works now probably some problem with windows compatibility.

Turned laptop on and off somehow it doesnt work when I start steam game is already running but nothing I can see and I cannot turn it off...

Did you try what i did? All i did was delete half the game files,verify it and it worked. Try to delete all o fit and THEN uninstall it to.

Yep now it works. I missed preference files after first download, werified through steam they added them but tot start the game I have to browse apps, and start game by double launching Rome from folder but it works :D

Nice. Idk why it works or if we had the same issue but for me after downloading fiels and putting them in,scanning,trying to reinstall etc all failing simply deleting it and forcing the game to reverify somehow makes it works.
