What's your favorite faction in Barbarian Invasion?

I just finished a Roman campaign in the base game and I was wondering what I should pick for Barbarian invasion.

Huns. Just cavalry. Strong starting army. Few strong enemies to fight with. All cavalry units are unmatched by others. Good supporting infantry. Bloodbath with Romans.

I love the Eastern Roman Empire. The Danube River is an excellent natural defence.

Franks have a nice mix of troop types, i once killed the entire hun horde with 4 spear militia and a gate, its neat to form long shield walls with saxons, but they dont' really have much else

I'd say Franks and Saxons are the most fun, but they're quite easy, once you take some settlements from the Romans it's quite easy because you have nice units. I'd say the Alemanni are fun too because it's a slight bit harder but still managable on vh/vh

Update: I decided to play the WRE on M/M. Being a somewhat seasoned total war player I was up to the challenge. Turns out, I have only been good at offensive wars and minor defensive wars. I lost parts of North africa, Gaul, Iberia and Pannonia within the first 30 turns. However, after building up a sizeable army and a decent alliance with the Romano-British, I began to reclaim my lands, exterminating any province with too many pagans inhabiting them. However, the ERE was crumbling, and Greece had already fallen, so I turned my veteran armies onto taking the barbarian infested lands of the Eastern Empire. In my campaign I managed to stop both the huns and goths, the two main hordes in the ERE. That's when I stopped playing, for now. I had reforged the empire to stretch from Gaul to Greece. I have new conquests to look to soon, though. The Sassanids are tearing down the Eastern Romans. The Romano British are fighting a stalemate with the Celts and Saxons. The tribes of Germania, having lost territory in my reconquest, are slowly regaining power by making large kingdoms in Eastern Europe. I wonder how my game will go from here...

Romano-British and Celts are my favorite factions. It's kinda cool starting on the island away from the continent.

The Romano-British have a good mix of barbarian and roman units and kinda reminiscent of the Britons from the previous game.Reforging the Roman Empire under the Romano-British is immensely fun.

The Celts have chariots and the coolest zerks in the game.Conquering the land previously lost to the Romans and restoring Celts back to the dominance in Europe is also quite satisfying.

The only bad thing is that I have to kill one of my favorite factions from the start when I play either one of them. ;(

How do you play as the Romano-British? I wanted to play them, but I couldn't. Do I need a mod?

Sassinids are a lot of fun, decent starting position and great cavalry options, horse archers,camel types, and elephants
