i bought this game on amazon. how can i get the steam contoller working on it

The game should contain a CD-key.
You can just put in the CD-key on Steam and you will get it in your library.
I doupt an old RTS can be played with a Steam controller outside of Steam.

As long it has ad CD key and is availeble on Steam you can redeem the retail version.

a few years back gamespy went belly up and RTW could no longer be hosted, the serial code or cd key you got with your game can be redeemed on steam.

i have RTW gold on steam because of that code and game i bought long ago, just before that i did some research on RTW and ran across the code being useful on steam.

Same, I've got a retail copy and wanted to play online, but couldn't. I then redeemed my retail copy on Steam after Prince of Macedon revealed it's what he did in the comments of one of his videos.

I do have a key. It doesn't work though.

That's unfortunate, maybe Steam wont allow it if it's from a rival site, mine was a retail copy.

you really shouldn't put your game code up like that, someone else can use that code to get a free rtw and you will be left without any way of getting it on steam yourself as someone else used your code.

also that civ 4 code is already used before i got to it :P

yeah idk, its unfortnate cause Rome Total War is the reason i bought it. wanted ti test it on RTS games since its all i play. and honesty **** the new Total war games

oh i didnt know they are useless afterwards. in any case any way to get non steam games to work with it
