Let me guess, you got to the second bridge and noped the ♥♥♥♥ out? lol
The visual distortion is part of the game, though due to that, when I first started getting audio distortion I thought it was supposed to be there due to the visual effects that happen at certain points! It was only after a few minutes when it started to get really bad that I realised it wasn't :p
Oh, and after I die, the audio stuttering stopped.
Well, can't access steam vr home while ingame, the only workaround sems to make a savegame and reload it .
Try to crouch , that worked for me, you can't aim because you are into a wall, so crouching puts you off of it. :)
Developers, I'm sorry this wasn't more of a success for you, because it really is great, and particularly as a VR experience. And the boat ride had me feeling like Willy Wonka...great stuff.
