missing controllers
Hi all

My setup: Oculus quest -> oculus link -> Steam VR.
Everything works great with steam VR, but I have a problem with "Scanner Sombre".

In the steam VR lounge -> controllers OK
I launch the game -> controllers OK
The game loads -> controllers OK
The game menu appears -> Controllers are missing (I don't see them anymore) and no buttons or actions available.

It's the only one of my games with a problem.
An idea ?

Yep I haven't been able to play this since I bought it because it's literally just a menu screen with no way to do anything on PC or in VR.

Still the same issue here. I played the game when I had WMR and loved it, so really disappointing that this won't work with my Quest>PC. All I get is the main menu, and no amount of fiddling can get it to select anything on the menu.

Have the same problem, but managed to make it work with ALVR (wireless VR for Quest), you can select headset settings there and choose to emulate Oculus Rift or Vive. If you choose Vive, there will be no problems with controllers in the game (you can leave controller settings as oculus touch even, it still works)

Good to know, thanks AFAIK! Still would be great for the dev to sort this though so we don't need to resort to workarounds. Such a good game, such a shame.

I have the same problem with quest. While I didn't find how to emulate Vive in ALVR. My ALVR seems only work for quest. AFAIK if you could let me know how to choose Vive if you see my message?

In ALVR window on your PC open Settings, find the tab named "Headset", find "Headset emulation mode" and change from Oculus Rift S to HTC Vive. Maybe restart Steam VR after.
Also use the latest version of ALVR from https://github.com/alvr-org/ALVR/ for headset and server, I've only tried that one.

This also helped me solve the problem in Accounting Plus, where I couldn't go through the choice of seated or standing play.

I just refund the game when I failed with ALVR. I will buy and try it again when it has a discount. Thank you again for your instructions.

When that happens to me, I usually close the game using the Steam VR dashboard ( bring the dashboard up with the menu button on the left controller), keep Steam VR running and start the game again from within Steam VR. The controllers usually then appear.

It's great little experience, it's a shame that people are missing out on it due to this bug. I've played through it on the Oculus CV1, now I'm doing it again with the much better Quest 2.

I played this on pancake mode, and wanted to come back when I had a VR setup as it obviously will shine in VR.,, but I'm not prepared to work so hard to play a 3 hour game.
A developer has had a long time to fix this, but hasn't even commented on the issue never mind try to fix it. As a consumer, the only thing I can do is vote with my feet, and despite having bought a lot of their games over the years, I'll not be purchasing anything further they produce.

Do not be so fast, it's a very pleasant game in vr. And the vr option is free and this is not the rule, they could make paid dlc out of it.

edit:
Then there would also be money to correct the problems associated with vr.
