Gamepad controls?

I cannot seem to figure out the controls for the gamepad. Or more exactly, I cannot find a button that would trigger the scanner. Could it be that the binding is missing? This is both with the XBox 360 and Steam controllers.

I tried the mouse emulation of the Steam controller, but that would be very choppy and would eventually stop responding completely. Something I have not seen in other games.

I figured it out! From what I figure there's no actual button on the gamepad to scan. However if you click the wheel on your mouse it should turn the scanner "on" then you can move around with the controller and use the bumpers to change the intensity (?) of the beam. Hope this helps. :)

The right trigger is the scanner. Works fine for me on the Xbox 360 gamepad.

Edit: I just found out that if you click the middle mouse button you can toggle the scanner instead of having to hold down the button. Maybe that's what you mean? I wish I'd known about that. I have a chronic wrist injury and I can't hold down buttons or triggers for a long time... Why is that not documented in the game??? Anyway I haven't found a way to do that with the gamepad, but the right trigger works if you hold it down, or you can click the middle mouse button like Minnut Butter said.

Thanks for the middle mouse button tip. RT doesn't seem to work at all on my xbox one s controller, so this tidbit should help
