I disagree with Spardin. Yes there are spooky things that don't actually do anything, but there are also spooky things that can kill you if you do not leave their territory fast enough.

Late to the party, but in case anyone finds this googling like i did: Yes. Yes there are monster and yes you can die from being killed, not just from falling accidentally. Wish there weren't, tho.
