Any build guides with level by level breakdowns?
I'm attempting to find a build guide that doesn't confuse me, but all the ones I find seem to assume that you're already familiar with the game and give you the information a way that doesn't really work for me. What I'm hoping to find is a guide that breaks everything down by level. "At level 1 do this. At level 2 do this. Etc." Are there any guides out there that do that? I'm most interested in a Haruspex build, but other classes are fine, too, as long as the guide is presented in a very linear "do this, then this" fashion.

I don't think you'll find a guide that detailed. Did you look in the Guides section to see if anything fits the bill?

Yes. The guides there give general information and a rough order to get things in usually, and sometimes images of what your build should look like at the end, which is just information overload to me. Even if not a level by level breakdown I'd at least like something that goes "Put this many points into this, then this many into this" in a clear order. Like step by step instructions.
If you check the YouTube videos of "Line of Epic Heroes", he has several such videos - search for him if you don`t want to click the link :

May I also suggest this guy and his great videos.
I checked both of those. The info may be good, but none of the videos is the kind of "do this, then this" type of guide that I want. They're just more of the same kind of guide I'm not finding very newbie-friendly. I just want to know what to put my points into and in what order.

The thing is that because loot is random, you cannot plan specifically and deterministically when you will need what. While general route of levelling a character can stay the same, the specifics of what to level when is both tied to personal preference as some people prefer specific skills over others, or even power levelling the mastery bars, and to what you find in the game. Find that great shield? Fine, you don't need to level that defensive skill just now and have a point free for something else.
As Swanky mentioned loot can be.... scarce at best (no mods), and the best loot may be deceptive (blues don't ALWAYS beat out a good prefix/suffix or monster infrequent).

This guide shows skills recommended for the leveling of each mastery. I will follow up and say if you want a COMPLETE 1 to 1 guide on what to do I think you're kind of missing the point. There's no seasons, and if there is any sort of competitive scene I've definitely not seen it. I haven't heard of any mastery combo not being able to clear late/endgame, and respecing is easy enough. Just have fun with it. I literally plan on making a Jolly Green Giant build that utilizes Colossus Form and Refresh to try and stay big as long as possible. Will it work? Probably. Is it super meta? Probably not.

Just have fun with it. Any ACTUAL deep ARPG I kind of accept my first character probably won't be my ACTUAL main/first to clear stuff. Some builds need equipment, some builds are harder, some are almost autopilot easy.

Just do something that sounds fun, pets tend to be good, max things out early.

Good luck!
I'm just gonna unsubscribe to this discussion. I never mentioned gear or competitive play and have no idea what y'all are on about. I just wanted something more like a roadmap than a brochure about the final destination in regards to skill and stat points. This has been . . . an experience.
