Thanks for the link to that, but i read on a youtube vid a couple of people saying this caused unexpected 'text overflows' in a way which made some key things totally unreadable for them, while it mostly worked. I should have mentioned i had read this one already.
Again though thank you very much for finding it and linking to it, as it could help someone else in some way.
No harm in playing at 1440 or 1080 if need be, but when they have an option for actual 4K resolutions in games, if it looks ok, i'd prefer to use it.
For example, in case you've never bothered to try it, or maybe if you don't even play it, The Division 2 in actual 4K is gorgeous, and the characters are in better proportion (slightly thinner), whereas "consumer 4K" they seem a little 'chubby' almost LOL
For actual version (v2.10.21415) and 3840 x 2160 (ONLY this) resolution:
1. Launch the game, go to settings. Set HUD size to "Normal".
2. Close game.
3. Go to the game folder.
4. Save a backup of the original file (Engine.dll).
5. Download this https://drive.google.com/file/d/190ehvHPsimbBmHmbnymf57UkAweR1Wq8/.
6. Replace the original file with the downloaded file.
7. Enter the game with any character.
8. Change HUD size in the settings to "Medium" or "Large".
