Flashing Speaker Icon?
Friends, playing TQ this evening a flashing speaker icon beneath my character portrait in the upper left-hand corner of the screen caught my eye. If it were any smaller I'd probably not have noticed it. I can't believe this thing has been there flashing constantly since I started playing the game heavily 3 months ago and I just didn't see it. Can anyone tell me what this icon means? I tried to click it but to no avail.

Do you have a microphone? Titan Quest has a built in voice chat for multiplayer.

No, this was on my desktop and I was playing single-player... I did however now that you mention it accidentally click on... custom quest (?) before backing out and going to single player. Maybe that brought something up. Hmmm....

I know that a flashing speaker icon means that you have voice chat toggled on. The button to turn it off will be somewhere in the settings.

That makes sense. The funny thing is I have no microphone attached and I checked my settings and... in single-player there is no mic setting. Why would there be?

Like he mentioned, that's most likely because you toggled Voice chat on. It doesn't matter if you have a microphone input or not, Go into Keybinding -> Toggle Voice chat, press that key and then unbind it altogether.
