I made this character starting at lvl 40 trying the zero deaths achievements, it's in act 2 of the epic difficulty with zero deaths so far, with items of a lot of grind, putting all stat points dividing between strength and dexterity.
What is your left and right click?
Onslaught or Calculated Strike as your spammable attack (personally like Onslaught here) - if going melee or ranged. Throwing Knife can also be used as your spammable attack if you got a more caster oriented build.
Your other ability will be something that can't be spammed, Lethal Strike is most likely, maybe Poison Gas Bomb for a caster ability. Alternatively traps can be here if you're more a pet build to make them easier to drop.
IMO devs should at least make it 2 charge levels and rework Lucky Hit with proper useful stats.
I started using calculated strike because to have this skill and calculated strike's subskill in full costs less points than onslaught, and it can also be considered as it didn't have much difference in terms of damage in my build focused on piercing, poison, bleeding, compared to onslaught.
Sometimes it looks even better especially when I'm in need of extra skill points, considering the cost of the skill and subskills maximum capacity.
Looks like it's already made to be balanced in my opinion, calculated strike can even be considered less powerful in some cases but it costs less points to have maximum capacity with subskills compared to onslaught.
I put attack bonus against undead in the equipment through relics, now it has become a character that beat all enemies quickly while avoiding attacks that are dangerous even with good resistances, attacking with dual throw currently.
When too many melee enemies get close i use "flash powder" :)
I have other alts like a Paladin, a Ranger and a couple more, but I miss my Assassin's attack power when I use especially the Ranger(who lacks AoE options until late in the Hunting tree)
Rush in, War Horn, Battle Standard, War Wind more or less destroys anything that comes into melee, things like Dactyl and Typhon aside. Battle Standard also helps to improve survivability.
His biggest weakness is the lack of good range options for those pesky archers(damn you Machaes...!); Throwing Knives feels too slow, traps need alot of point investment, I didnt invest in Poison Gas Bomb and Im hoping the new Atlantis skill, Slam, alleviates this.
