Minoan Labyrinth map view
Map now looks just like lot of walls on a blank space, they just wanted to make it more... labyrinth-ish?

Yep, that was the intention.

Is this new in this version, I don't remember it being like this in the original... I know it's more authentic but is also annoying xD

Yes, in TQ:AE the map in Minoan Labyrinth is dark, it's for make more difficult for the players pass the Labyrinth, in the old TQ / TQ:IT, it was easy as hell, only look a the map and you need only 5 minutes to find the Minotaur Lord hehehe

I hope this help you :happyelf: ( and sorry for my bad english xDD )

Okay, I'm not getting the whole "labyrinthine" aspect of this. In fact, my map isn't "dark" its plain dead wrong when it comes to the walls and such. There's empty space where there should be walls and walls where there's empty space. Was THIS aspect intentional? If so, it was a really foolish decision. I always felt like map generation like this was cartography by the player, as if I was drawing the map as I was playing. Anyone else experiencing this frustation?

Some people feel your frustration but most it doesn't seem to bother.

you are wrong. all visible walls exist. the outer walls (the labyrinth is divided into several boxes, I mean the walls of those boxes) are sometimes not shown, but otherwise the map is accurate.
here, compare this to your minimap, you will se what I mean:

I like the new look of the labyrinth. And if you play the game for a longer time, you know the way through the labyrinth anyway by heart. So I do not understand the whole excitement here...
