Satyr Shaman Bug

I believe I've found a gamebreaking bug where the first boss in the game, the Shaman Satyr, regenerates health quicker than I deal damage, making it literally impossible to kill him. I've looked up many guides on this and found that nobody else has had this issue, and everyone seems to be able to kill him without trouble. Should I just restart my game?

Nope I'm using the starter knife. I think I figured it out though, I believe that I had to kill every enemy in the farmlands and I missed a few, so I went back and found them and he died that time.

What I typically do is pick up a bow and shoot/strafe him. (Remember to use the shift key.) ... Either that or buy a staff from the merchant in town with my starting gold.

You are playing the game at normal speed as oppose to fast?

No, the only reason to clear the map is for the extra XP; but glad to hear that you won.

I was playing the game at normal speed, and thanks fauxpas haha I'm already getting into this game and I can see myself really invested in it. I was a huge fan of Grim Dawn and I love ancient history so this is a blessing for me!

Use the torch that drops, you don't have to kill the others. Torch makes it easier

Sometimes a reload helps since this shaman can spawn with a staff that leeches life when hitting you (was the case for my new character) or he has armor parts that increase life regeneration, so reloading can switch his gear (because everything gets reset).

Just a heads up for someone who still has problems with him.

My guess is the Shaman spawned with a life leech staff (or maybe regen gear) I had that happen to me. Just use a bow and dodge the projectiles and he will die and you will get nice gear.

the boss is regenerating health rapidly. I'm level 2 and I simply can't kill him. Any help?

I watched some youtube videos about the fight. In the video, the shaman's health never regenerates. however, in my case, it gets back to full health within 0.5 seconds.

Is this a bug?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I had this happening to me to! The Torch definitely does the trick! Keep bashing him with the torch and his regen items will be rather useless. Once he dies, you'll get those sparkling regen items for yourself! It really is quite a curse and a blessing at the same time. Good luck!

After countless playthroughs, I've run into this issue myself. It's not a life leech weapon as it's health regens without it landing hits. Also you can't strafe/shoot as some have suggested because as soon as you pause from damaging it, it's health is already back to full. I used the regen shrine in the north of it's camp to counter it's regen with my own
