with plant amulet I was able to reach astonishing +106 hp per second regeneration and 1400 hp overall. (32 lvl btw, 98 unused skill points)
Even if I'm quikly low on health during the battle, instead of using bottle (or while using it) I just have to run in circles around my foes for couple of seconds to regenrate to full health.
My damage isn't that great but enough to survive usual pack of enemies without bottle (while surrounded by them ofc). Despite I thought dragon centaurs will be hard, they aren't. Easiest monsters in china. The real danger are tropical spiders (can chip away health faster than I regenerate it) and... black\white tigers. They are almost harmless one-by one, but if white put me in stun and black is around with flag... oh boy.
I've also crafted advanced artefact that grants me "explosion" in a radius of 5 meters with 500 damage + stun. It recharges 90 seconds, so if timed right, I can oneshot pack of those nasty spiders or tigers.
And I've got my first item that grants skill.... and this skill is... Refresh. So useless for a character without any other skill =D
In ocnclusion, so far skilless run isn't something very hard (just a little harder than normal) but pretty entertaining. Tomorrow I'm gonna fight the Titan. I don't know what will happen. Wish me luck!
Good luck with Typhon.
I don't even believe I can finish ACT4 of Normal since the difficulty rapidly goes up (and armor requairments to strength too)
Here how my hero looks like. All those items are YELLOW items. The axe is only green item.

I've got to Olympus today. I've raised my fire and lightning resists up to 35% so I was able to survive obsidyan caves. In fact, firebreathing dragons were easy. Their attack is slow and easy to doge. I was able to land 5-6 hits between attacks.
Third Telkhin guy (don't remember how it spelled in english, sorry) was easy. Haven't used potions at all. His telepathic rock throw took around 250 hp which I regenerated in 2 seconds.
Olympus monsters wasn't hard either if not encountered all at once. Cyclops... let's say I've used a bow to kill them. It's crazy on any difficulty to engage 3-4 cyclops in a close fight.

I had to use bow for Titan too. I've tried to go melee first time. The result is in presence of gravestone. Instead, I was standing near arena's entranse going back when meteor shower strikes (it was 100% death) and dodging lightning bolts. I was able to shot one arrow each time he shot lightning bolt, and his fire-breathing attack, mana steal and health drain allowed me to land much more shots one after another. Eventually Titan was dead.

The whole fight took me around 10 minutes, artifact I had was useless (it wasn't close combat) thus I can say that original game is doable without learning any masteries.
I've started act 4 and, as I mentioned before, it might be the end of skilless run. But can't be sure - after all I was sure I'll not be able to get even to Delfs without skills.
Good luck on your Act 4.
Thanks guys! And guess what - I'm still going! (act 4, normal)
Here how things went after I got back from Olympus:
On a Rodos beach I've encountered first quest I can't execute. The one where you should protect guy on a lighthouse from waves of undead. I simply couldn't kill them fast enough with my DPS. Like no chance at all.
Crabs were okay, undead was buffy but weak. Frog people were horrible, especially big red fighting type. I was using bow more than I wanted.
The real problems started with forest after the beach. Local demons killed me in 1-2 hits. Could only lure em one by one and kill with bow. My 100hp\sec regen was useless since their attacks took 600-800 hp per axe swing. So I changed my armor from regeneration to movement speed. Clearing the forest still took a hour or two. That was the moment I thought "that's it. I can't play without skills anymore".
But further locations were easier + I found neat green spear that granted me autocast of Green eye on everybody. Thus swamp ruins were cleared. Took long but wasn't as frustrating as forest. Grais were easy once I used bow and dodged their splash attacks.

spear in action
On my way to hades I got a neat spear of fire and ice and it gave me a really nice damage output. Currently I'm at lost souls city. Charon wasn't a challenge, but guess who was... Red ants with warfare skills. This horrible things were killing me in 2 rapid hits, unlike any other enemies. Undead were very weak. I can literally gather a crowd around and they still couldn't do much damage.

My character. Here are my stats:
LVL 37 / HP 1818 / STR 323 / INT 52 / DEX 260
DPS 396 / Armor 312 / HP regen 43,5
attack ability 446 / defence ability 260
speed 129
Death count: 89 (50 from original game, 39 from ACT 4 only)
With my new weapon and other items game returned to it's normal state. It's challenging. Sometimes I have to lure most dangerous enemies and use a bow, but usually can defeat a pack of monsters.
I'm afraid to say this... but looks like act 4 can be finished without learning skills too :D
Do old save files work in this version? If I do find it, it will be quite the nostalgia checking some of old savefiles again.
i do like challenge still, but wouldn't force myself to do this sort of thing again.
And I want to make a copy of my save when I'm done, so I can start Epic with any school combo I want, try different things not spending entire two-three days just to level up on Normal before I can reach Epic. And from my past expirience, by the end of Normal you already have "synergy" in your skills. From now your gameplay and strategy will not change. Pretty boring I must say, that's why I've never finished Epic.
