Relics Are Useless

Why i can't put relics into epic and legendary items ??? This is not normal. You can only put relics into rare/green and yellow items.. ??!
Late game ill not use any rare/ barely. You guys have to change this to be useable on all kinds of gear. Looting them feels pointless now.

they really aren't useless. A lot of epic and legendary items would simply be too overpowered. You say you will not use any rares, but you will. Epic and Legendary items don't necessarily have the best stats, but they fit certain niche builds, something that isn't viable across all builds.

If you want to be able to socket legendaries, you'll have to play Grim Dawn instead.

But socketing green MIs is pretty tasty :)

A good example is the Stonebinder's Cuffs bracer. I'm sure that a lot of not most people would use those with a socketed relic over an epic/legendary bracer.

I agree , if anything certain green items are way more powerful then most blue or purple .

On my now lvl 39 brigand still wearing lvl 18 rings and chest greens and a lvl 25 spear even though i found a lvl39 purple spear which would be perfect for my build yet i would lose about 20% of my damage

I agree, this system is very good as it is. Relics will not be useless, greens will not be useless. I had still few on my character after beating legendary difficulty several times. And you will need relics also for building talismans.

Certain greens with a slotted relic outdo a lot of stuff for multiple acts.

A rather exceptionally rolled green sword off the tigermen in act three with a Peng claw relic added onto it for example didn't get replaced until act two in epic. It literally more than doubled my damage output at the time and didn't get replaced until I could get my hands on a green drain sword with comparable damage output.

Right. I'm using the Tiger Claw axe from them, and it's superb for the time being.

I got a Sabertooth katana from those act 3 tigermen yesterday with +30% attack speed. Boy howdy that upped my DPS considerably! I guess I should consider putting a relic in it...

The one they gave me a while back also included ~15 points of lightning damage on top of the generous attack speed. Throw a Peng Claw relic into it for another ~35 pierce damage and off you go.

I don't think they're useless Clay, but as squid posted earlier, they can be niche. So sure, your BiS setup for a build might be a bunch of purples but until you get the full or near-full combo you're going to enjoy MIs with socketed relics.

Besides, sounds like you guys are saying when you find a good epic or legendary don't use it, use green stocket item?!?! We know relics isn't easy to complete.
It's really useless late game, you will find yourself using a very few greens becasue epics and legendaries way better (i'm talking about now, i found some legendaries and they are really good) basically it should been made for all kinds of gear. just like in GD

It's good only for resistances, green (even not MI!) weapons more damageful, green armbands more faster than 95%< purple items (expect Tracker and Conqueror's armband), in green and yellow items you can find good 1 resistance(like Poison) especially for bosses like Cerberus or Dragonlich etc.

I would like to just comment on relics. they are easy to complete, because they are not random drop. same type of monster = same relics, so you can complet what you want quickly. expect some not to monster dedicated very few i think

Well maybe things have changed since I last played IT, but back then people were farming the hell out of Stonebinder's Cuffs, Batrachos Greaves and Bramblewood Bows (as just a few examples) because they wanted to use those rather than an epic or legendary.

im 39 now atm on my brigand
my lvl 26 green spear with a relic gives me 2200 dps average
lvl 39 purple Amazonian spear 1800..............

it just feels really wrong
