DPS or Average damage?
Oh god, i'm asking a lot of questions! I'm using the mace that the cyclops drops, and it does like 50 DPS with a 56 average, but i got this blue sword that does about 60 DPS but it's average damage is about 40. The mace is green and the sword is blue, and for what i understand green > blue. But what's better between DPS or average damage?

its depending on your build. High dps (combi with atk speed) is good for standart attacks. or builder like you find in the Rouge tree. A high avarage dmg is good for hard hitting attacks wich mostly have a cd.

Generely the dps (damage per second) can tell you how high you dmg is mostly higher than the avarage damage. but if you have hard hit attacks and have to kite you cant hit all the time and a single strong att would be better. Than you need a high base dmg.

Sorry for my broken english <3

Thanks a lot! I really dont know much about builds and stuff, i just use what looks badass and/or is more powerful than what i have. I tried each weapon with the same boss, and looks like the one higher on DPS works better on bosses than the one with average, but on smaller enemies the one with higher average works better than the DPS. Maybe its something with the health regen or just the amount of health? But anyways, i guess that i'll keep a high average on my Main weapon slot and a high DPS on my secondary! :D

Average Damage = (Overall) Damage Per Hit

as apposed to Damage Per Decond
