To use the gear I got, you're going to need to have invested 300ish in STR, and 350 in INT. You don't need any more in either of those stats, so you can dump the leftovers in DEX for some extra DA. If you plan on wading though packs, you're gonna want somewhere in the ballpark of 1100-1200DA. Much lower than that, and you'll start seeing red numbers. And red numbers are bad.
I'll add more later on.
good work!
I think champion is one of the strongest builds in the game, unfortunately a late bloomer though.
Have you some reccommendations for the first levels (let's say the first 30, where skill coverage is not much efficient)?
I have a champion sitting on lvl 8 only, I can't find much motivation as I had with other builds (conqueror, slayer, warden).
With no 80% CDR, you're better off gearing for some melee DPS with pets on the side. Skills like plague would still be good for melee as well. Same goes for the heal.
Thanks for the recommendation and congrats for the build!

to improve the machae groups you really should use briar ward - especially with that much CDR; imo an excellent skill.
for nights mistress (even 2): engage her/them in close combat quickly (probably 1 point in war wind), then she wont cast that draining field of cr@p
I've joined my friend in MP a lot and due to some lag often times my spells cast twice causing 2 banners to be placed. I can say from experience they did not stack for me.
With 100% CDR you can spam warhorn/doomhorn nonstop, and that would perma CC mobs and inflict a ton of damage on them as well. So yes, pre-AE this build was stronger. And you had the option of getting perma ancestral warriors on non-champion builds.
Soothsayer can get perma outsider with 80% CDR, but I used the same gear on a soothsayer, and it's not a strong as this champion build is. Pre-AE outsider was stronger due to % HP based damage being more effective against bosses.
Pet champion is the strongest pet build in AE. And probably one of the strongest builds period.
If I had some extra points to spare I might use briar ward. But with only +4 all skills, I'm pretty strapped for points. If I had +5 or +6 skills, I'd be able to grabs some more stuff. I'd recommend grabbing briar ward for someone using CDR gear that's not as tanky as me though. So it's a good idea depending on your gear.
It seems like a completely random attack and it has no line of sight checks whatsoever. I've been hit with it while in melee range before. Most of the time I avoid it by sitting back. It's only a minor inconvenience. It drops toggles for a few seconds and makes me burn 1 energy pot.

Early on you could go either way mastery wise. If you don't want to play melee, you don't have to. Nature is a good mastery as a stand alone. One of the better stand alones in fact. If you do that, I still recommend putting 10 in warfare for battle standard. And maxing battle standard. That will help you annihilate bosses. You can even be INT heavy, and use a staff if you want up until you got 350 invested.
