Pierce damage question
Does +%Physical damage also boost Pierce damage?

I am not 100% sure how Pierce damage calculates its damage

- Weapon pierce dmg which converted from weapon pierce ratio, get benefit from +%total/pierce/physical dmg.
- Pierce dmg from any skill, item, scroll that don't come from weapon pierce dmg get benefit from +%total/pierce dmg, not %physical dmg.
- Piercing Retaliation get benefit from only +% Pierce dmg Retaliation source (only available on 2 items in game for now).

Yes.
An example would be a weapon that does 100 damage and has a 25% pierce ratio. This means the weapon does 75 damage and 25 pierce damage. If you have a +%physical damage modifier that now makes the weapon do 200 physical damage with 25% pierce ratio, it would now give 150 damage and 50 pierce damage. Then you add on any pierce damage modifiers.

Thank you, both great replies wish I could mark both as answers. This helps out a lot

I thought in AE the +%physical modifiers were added after the pierce conversion?

No
Taken from titanquest.fandom

"Basic attack calculation for Direct Damage dealt is fairly simple. Take your weapon damage, find the average, add any modifiers to Physical Damage, pile up all the mods and add them together, then take the Piercing %, convert from Physical to Pierce Damage, pile up all the Piercing mods, then take any Elemental or other damage type damage, and (yes, again), pile up on all the mods on it. Once this is done, your will have your number with X Physical, Y Piercing, Z Elemental / Bleed / Poison/etc damage."
