Temple of Heaven's Gate: How does it work exactly?
Hi there! So I've been absent from the game for a little while and recently came back to check it out! Replaying my old character, I noticed a new resources was added along with gold (I think it's called Electrum?). I had 0 of it. At first I figured I would just get some by playing, maybe only on Legendary or something. Then I made a new character and quickly found the Temple of Heaven's Gate! With that, I quickly learned how to get Electrum: Just get those debuffs and kill monsters, basically! ^_^ But I still wonder about the worth of Electrum! I noticed that altar that sells orbs, but there's like 18 of them, I think? Set up into 3 different "difficulty level", and I can't help but wonder which ones are the best ones. Should I just ignore the Normal and Epic ones and buy Legendaries, basically? And which Legendaries, because there are 6 of them and they all cost the same.

Basically, it's the orbs I still have questions about: How do they work, what's the differences between all of them (especcially those that cost the same), and is it worth the debuffs to get those?

In normal you can only buy normal Orbs, in Epic you can buy normal or Epic Orbs in Legendary any of them. They drop items specifically from the area you see on the tooltip. All of them, normal, epic and legendary can drop legendary items but extremely rare in a normal Orb, a lot more often with a Legendary Orb. They cost more as they go up, as the items are (should be) better quality. As in items from "the North" Ragnarok are better than items from earlier levels.
You can also find occasionally a part of a key, which can also drop from Bosses. 3 keys (Primary, secondary and Tertiary) open a hidden dungeon. There are 3 hidden dungeons. I believe only 1 dungeon in normal, 2 in Epic and the 3 are in Legendary. This I need confirming.
But the keys from normal only work in normal, Epic only in Epic and Legendary only in Legendary.

But see that's what confuses me: They don't cost more! I mean, the Epic ones cost more than the Normal ones, and Legendaries cost even more than that. But as far as from different levels, the orb for "The North" cost the same as the "Antiquities" one...

That being said, I get that every orb gives you item of its specific level. So, would The North or Tiamat be the highest one? Not really sure which one is supposed to be higher level there...

So I have also just discovered this.
So am I getting this right... I go get a curse, kill monsters, get Electrum?

The :cleancake: is a LIE !

Been farming electrum at some point on legendary, with 5-6 debuffs (it was adding up very fast), and on my 3rd legy Theban Orb, i dropped ONLY yellows...

Like wtf ?! 390000 electrum for.... EE trash ?! (in my opinion it should guaranty atleast 2x legendary item drops)

I instant cleanse myself of all the debuffs and moved on.

Its still ok, i guess, to have some debuffs on you, if you feel the game is just to easy at that time; but to farm for fame and get the middle finger, its not cool at all.

One thing I am curious about is whether having more curses gives more Electrum per kill or not.

Of course, the more curses you have the more Electrum you get. I dont know the Exact Formula but its a nice increase. Once you get Enough Electrum, I strongly suggest you buy Theban & Jade Emperor (EE expansion if you have ) Orbs, NORMAL ONES, that cost 140000 Electrum Points. What I like to do for example is get to 1.4 million Electrum Points, and then buy 10 normal Eternal Embers orbs (like 5 Theban and 5 Jade Emperor), that way you will get many EE legendaries as well as exclusive items that can only drop from the electrum orbs like for example: Bane of the Fallen, Ra's Supremacy etc etc. You should NEVER buy Legendary Eternal Embers Orbs, you get more value from 10 Normal Eternal Embers orbs than from 2 or 3 Legendary ones.

Any EE set items? I have 5 Jade Emperor Orbs so far and no EE set items.

More curses does give more per kill - especially if all are on. Much more dangerous though on higher difficulties. Later acts give more electrum per kill too. Bosses in EE on Legendary give 5000 electrum each, I saw on Youtube.

I don't have a single EE set item yet. 35 hours in EE and ~10 orbs purchased. I have only purchased Jade and Theban orbs because I was told EE items can be in there. So far, zero EE items. More legendary weapons in Jade orbs and legendary armor in Theban orbs so far.

Now I am finding some. Amenhotep's dagger, a Thutmose chest and Kiya's boots in Theban orbs. Also Chiyou's pendant in a Jade orb.
