Oh, and also, not sure if it's a bug or feature, but the dual throwing style's thunder strike seems to give a larger aoe than the single throwing weapon thunder strike. For melee, you'll still have a lot of damage, but going toe to toe in melee can be dangerous without the defense stuff you get from say hunting, dream or defense.
If you go the physical route and go onslaught, the damage scales more steadily, but you'll still have the damage. You'll have to lean a lot more on warfare since runes mastery tend to be very much focused on elemental damage. Unlike the elemental route, you do get to go with strength armor items which tend to have superior armor values because you're putting primarily into strength.
