Farming Cold Essence is ridiculous.
Over 500 Water Spirits killed and they have dropped ONE cold essence. The worst part is that these Water Spirits are the worst and most annoyingly designed enemy i have ever seen.

Try Mimer's Palace and the desert before it - Jotun drop it, too. IIRC with Nixies, only some heroes drop it, but I might misremember there.

Kelpies are annoying as hell to fight, very hard to hit. It's much easier and faster to farm the Jotuns in Jotunheim instead. You can just port straight to the portal and start clearing enemies.

Troll Tusks or Golem Hearts are far more annoying to farm imo. You need to grind lots of annoying minor trolls to farm the big guys and golems are a pain to fight against.

I have legendary, epic and normal cold essence. Which one is it that you want? I can give you a full completed one. I need nothing in return, I have all relics and charms with many completion bonuses over and over again.
I actually found them dropping from Giants and Frost Giants. Jotuns and Rhymturs.

Thanks for the offer but i stopped playing TQ because of bugs regarding Ice Shards. These bugs completely ruined my character and made the game unplayable.

The content in the current TQ expansion R+A even though it's 15 years older than original expansions (first edition + Immortal Throne in 2005-2006) is filled with a large amount of bugs, random crashes and poorly placed content/quests when IT had almost no bugs and no crashes, I can say that but I somehow managed to find a way through all the bugs and keep the game going. You can backup your character maybe?
