Pets are screwed against Typhon... also you could check out for a useful scroll at the vendors.
Remember you can activate several shrines at the edges of the plaza. It may help too.
When it comes to vendor shopping you can warp from shop to shop to see what they have got. Then quit to menu to reset them if nothing presents itself. This has been a staple of TQ for years. You could also try and farm some epic Demons Blood. Three of those in your jewelry is 105% resist. Finally you can farm earlier bosses for new gear.
Pet's will die often on Typhon as they won't avoid damage. So either ignore them or get used to pulling them away manually when necessary.
Scroll as has been said are also great for a power boost.
- You want Fire, Lightning and Vitality res.
- Avoid meteorites, stop attacking when reflect aura is up.
How ?
Mages have to do it regardless. To do that, you'll see many carry along and extra 2 pieces or so of gear that have movement speed bonus. For example, I carry a leg armor piece and an ammy for my dancing ensemble. I go from 100% to 166% movement speed when needed. It's not my regular fighting gear. It's so I can move and get out of the way. If you're using a fighter perhaps you could use the same strategy and control your engagements on and off with typhon, keying in on those ability cool timers to get the best dps during those engagement sessions. In other words, dance with him.
Is the helm called "hallowed helm"? Sorry, I don't understand the word "hallowed"; I'm German.
I think the previous poster recommended it because it's a good shapable item that can raise your vitality resistance above 0 and maybe help damage/defense with the + skills?
It is rare in vendors and drops so will be hard to find.

Hallowed ist übrigens ein "geheiligter", der gibt LKS-Resi und +1 aaF
O.K. I have the hallowed helm and boots of speed and several greater scrolls of the Crushing Vortex. But all that is not enough. the scroll does a bit of damage, but when I hit with my weapon, that does no damage at all.
I have thaought to erase all my skills to become a more powerful fighter.
This is very frustrating. Why can't I do any damage with my weapon? My fighter has now more power of earth, but stil lno damage at all!

How's your Offensive Ability (OA)? Maybe you're having trouble doing damage because you're having issues hitting Typhon. You can activate damage logs from the menu options to track damage done and see if Typhon is avoiding a lot of your attacks.
Alternatively, instead of melee if you're having issues doing damage. you can try using some Earth spells. Many Earth spells tend to do a mix of fire and physical damage so they can scale with both your Intelligence and Strength stats.
As for pets, Typhon can be a tough fight for pet builds as he can shred packs pretty fast with his attacks. I'm not sure if Nymph is much good for the fight, multiple wolves are probably better for damage but they can be really fragile in this fight. The Core Dweller is a tank type pet so pretty useless for dealing damage. One popular scroll through applies a storm that stuns Typhon. You should be able to combo the scroll to help protect your pets, toss on Plague to debuff Typhon and try to burn him down while the scroll power is active.
I'd suggest getting as much vitality resist as possible to limit Typhon's Life Drain so that you at least mitigate the amount of health he regains as this will allow you to slowly wear him down over time. It's slow, but you can cheese him down with pets, spells, long range attacks, scrolls and the like. When you need to retreat just run down the stairs and wait until you're ready to engage again. Typhon won't heal if you stay there, so just bring lots of pots with you and slowly kill him.
Buy the strongest bow you can find (and a stack or three of healing potions, too, if you're short on those). Put that into your backpack, zap back to Mount Olympus, and clear the path leading up to the peak.
Stop in front of those last for steps leading to Typhon's battle arena. Equip the bow, (re-)cast your buffs and place the Banner, again just in front of the steps (as to "why?", see under "pets" below). Now take a few steps into the plate - only like 3m, so about one or two char heights - and start firing towards the center of the circle. Typhon will stomp towards you and catch an arrow or two during that...
There's an invisible trigger line at about the second step, and when you cross that, Typhon will start coming to you - and stop at a distance where he'll start hurling his strom bolts at you. Keep firing at him, but stay at the same distance, he'll keep hurling those bolts, and occasionally mix a meteor strike in. Most important thing here: the distance he chooses is longer than the range of his lifesteal, that "pink fog" attack... ...so break off when Typhon approaches you beyond that bolt hurling distance, too.
You get hit? Quaff a potion. You get low on HP - step down those steps and... ...Typhon will break off, and retreat to center plate. Rinse. Repeat.
Even if you get killed - no hum. He doesn't heal (other than via that lifesteal) as long as you don't leave the map. And, after a bit of practice, you'll find the sweet spots and learn the telegraphs.
Pets: Don't.
They're just life-leech fodder for Typhon - unless you're a true Nature petmancer, and even then it's better to stun him. Greater Scroll of Earthquake would be the way on Epic, (Divine) Skroll of Sky's Rage in Normal and Legendary. If you're fast and good enough, you can order your pets away from the lifesteal cone with the "pet attack" command, which also works as "pet go to" when clicked on empty floor... ...but IMHO&Xp, it's mostly better and easier to just dismiss them for that fight.
Vitality Resistance: You should still bring some.
My recommendation: 50-ish, Even though you won't have to block that lifesteal, many boss attacks have a "reduce enemy health by x%"-component, and that is resisted by VitRes, too. It is less relevant, even no longer crucial, but still helps a lot with not dying too often.
Farming Typhon can be done that way, too, though it's annoyingly slow. But...
...Epic Typhon is the most probable source for two of the most useful broad spectrum resistance items: The Mantle of Sa'jun[www.tq-db.net] and the Crest of MuRong[www.tq-db.net]. These two shineys will carry you through the remainder of Epic, and are darn useful in Legendary, too.
HTH+HF!
I finally got him on level 64 with a vitality resistance of 80.
I used 16 greater scrolls of the crushing Vortex, and that was all.
It was rather easy with these scrolls. It took me several days to defeat him, but I'm happy now.
What a great game!
Was mit Pets auch immer hilft ist der "alle auswählen" Button um sie aus den AoEs zu bewegen - in dem Fall hinter Typhon, während man ihn vorne beschäftigt.
