What level are you at mid Epic: yes strange question.

Strange question maybe for someone who has played this game for so many hours.

But I have a reason. Even though I have so many hours into this game, I can tell you at exactly what level my builds are in normal.
I have never bothered looking at levels in Epic.
I am re-building a Brigand, doing okay so far (0 deaths, not really role-playing a total pierce/poison type, later maybe), but I have run through a lot of the game, doing quests of course, but trying to get to Zhidan/ Chang'an with no real problems.
I have been "farming money", since I think I may need it soon (at Zhidan/ Chang'an)
I just do not want to be over-levelled and without realising it think I am doing great with this build.

So at what level would you expect your builds to be at (Epic) Chang'an.
I really dislike being over-levelled, it feels like cheating to me.

45 maybe. With Ragnarok, not Atlantis.

Don't know if it really matters at that point though. Your main skill line doing damage is probably maxed out and additional levels don't make as much impact. It is mostly about gear upgrades at that point. A level 45 with great gear is going to out-perform a level 55 with average gear.

Yep. Got to Zhidan and looking at gear upgrade (just really weapon and boots - even if that means losing +1 skills).
Although accomplished hero starts at 40 (always make Ragnarok by level 38 - 39), so you actually think there is only them few levels between Ragnarok and the middle of Act 3 (Chang'an). Must take more notice as I am going through epic with my builds.

I am generally 51-53 by the time I do the Golden Boar (its a boar right) in act 3 Epic. That is when I start at level 40 Accomplished. I think I may be there a bit sooner if at start a new toon. However, as I try not to die... I am always leary of the Boar with a mage toon with 3000 life etc.... So I sometimes level to 55 before doing that. A melee toon is no problem generally... as long as I have some bleed resists. You know the deal, lol.

UPDATE - Your really have no worried in act 1 and 2. They are no harder than act5 from normal. Act 3 a starred Tiger can be bad. So you can be in act 2 quite low, end of act 3 not so much. Unless deaths don't bother you.

UPDATE 2 - I run with decent gear, better than as found. Makes a difference. but doesn't change things really till act 4-5 Epic. I just have good resists overall. I don't clear all mobs either so arrive a bit lower in all likelihood. I think if you clear all mobs you would be a couple levels higher.

I go pretty fast through epic and don't kill much, so yeah 50 is probably more reasonable if you kill a lot. Again, not sure 5 level difference is going to matter.

Thanks for replies, I am not bothered about making it through as the build appears to be as solid as most of my other 15 I have at the moment in epic (which I am happy about).
I am just was not wanting to be over levelled and lost my perspective from running through so much to get to the point I can re-gear.
Tigermen even Heroes/ pack leaders with this build are just little cats. Its only ghosts that annoy this build, a lot of my other builds just shred them.
Although resists wise, I really need to do something about my negative bleed resistance before Ragnarok or that is going to be a real pain.

Well, playing the disc gold version years ago I usually finished Epic around 55/56 so add in Ragnarok and Atlantis and that would probably be nearer 60/61 I would guess.
