First 40 Levels of Soothsayer?
How would you allocate the skill points for the first 40 levels of Soothsayer?

depends if you want to go petmaster or ternion build...

petmaster its enough int for best gear, enough dex to reach about 1000 defense ability including gear, and rest into hp cause you arent attacking your pets are...

ternion build you want as high int as possible, enough dex to not be critted, and nothing in hp...

2 completely different builds overall and both should work but it depends if you want to depend on pets or do it all yourself..

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.

Actually I am referring to the the nature tree and spirit tree.

Should I put points in wolf first or lich first?
How about wraith shell, plague etc.

How should I allocate the point so that I have a relatively easy time throughout normal.
I believe by the end of normal you should reach around level 40?

I am going for the tanky build. So I am putting points in strength and dex and hit points.
So I won't be using terrion. I will let my pets take care of everything and I will just debuff the enemy.

Lich is a lot cheaper than the wolf tree and more durable and about equal in DPS if not better due to not having run up to everyone. Wraith shell is pretty much a requirement for lich since it makes him pretty much invincible.

I'd go with a melee based build, you can have a Lich by level 4 or 5 if you rush for it, you'll also want to pick up death chill aura and then rush towards Necrosis, this way you passively put massive debuffs on the enemies by just being near them, debuffs that make your lich king even more powerful and make the enemies around you deal less damage so you end up tankier. You can also pair this up with life leeching weapons since the debuffs will cause life leech to be much more effective than normal to give you more tanking.

Once you get nature I'd prioritize heart of oak for extra health, along with the wolves for extra damage. Regrowth helps with keeping the wolves alive, but you really have no reason to since you have options such as Dark Covenant for cheaper which can boost your energy regen very high so that you can just go ahead and summon more wolves any time you want or use powers such as life leech or whatever and just boost your speed.

Honestly the Lich King alone, if you just pour all your points into it, is enough to carry you through at least all of act 2 with no problems, probably would get further with no problems, but I got bored of just letting him do all the work.

i find until you reach 80% damage absorb via survial instinct and at least lv7 wolves for 2 of them which means bare mininum 15 in survival instinct and 7 in wolves that wolves are awful and they are still really glassy in normal mode but at lesat just before they die they push their dps though the roof...once you hit epic lv15+ survival instict turns them into super tanks and pushes their dps to crazy high numbers so imo you'll prob struggle in normal but provided you gotten survival instict to lv15+ and 7 for 2 wolves they should be okish esp if you go bonus to all pets (phys dps) you want to max wolves eventually esp once you get + to all skills so you can get 3 wolves

liche needs pretty high wrath shell but not as high as to reach 80% damage absorb and he doesnt have to wait till hes at 33% hp like wolves to turn it on, he turns it on immdeadially....boosting the base liche skill gives him a resist down move which does a lot of damge and if enemy isnt immune to life leech he heals himself for a lot of hp to the liche you want to first max base skill so 16 pts, and wrath shell for max protection....after that you can add to his other 2 skills...

after you gotten the bare min for both pets then you can start improving strength of the pack for the wolves so you push that phys damage higher espscially if you do all phys bonus to pets gear..and start improving liches other moves so he has more ways to lifesteal to keep himself alive though just having 80% damage absorb he'll seem really tanky..by the time you receive the +100% hp again in epic he will prob never die again, and if you get it again in legendary even bosses wont be able to kill him lol..

maul for wolves imo is pretty weak and all you really need for them is the best bonus to pets that has phys cause they will turn on maxed survival instinct which boosts their phys like crazy and then they use strength of the pack to push that higher...you need regrowth to heal them back up once the fight is over but since you arent fighting you can prob easily max it...if wolves die you can just resummon them and let their hp drop so they turn on survival instinct again so they maximize their dps..

i find nymph to be the weakest pet of the bunch and i'll do her last esp since she doesnt need many points to be effective, just max base skill and 1 pt in shield and 1 pt in her aoe arrow and hand her bonsus to pets phys and she'll be ok...you can max those 2 things later on when you have excess pts..though you should techically be protizing heart of oak, plague, and regrowth after you get 7 summon wolves/15+ survival instinct, and 16 summon liche and maxed wrath shell...if you want to save points then 1/1/1 on nypmh should suffice, she will prob die a lot but the shield she hands you with + to all skills usually is the contribution she does and not level the base skill until more important skills like heart of oak, plauge, deathchill etc are done and bonus to pets on her she still should do okish dps esp since she aoes and does all that bonus to pets to clumps of enemies

summon outsider needs only 1 pt imo, hes more there for -33% max hp per hit, if enemy doesnt have any vit res he will rip them apart and with maxed strength of the pack+phys damage he will prob start to shred things even if they are vit immune later on...though again normal mode all petmaster will be very weak so dont take that peformance into account, act4-5 normal is the hardest difficulty in the game for petmasters and after that it becomes amazing esp once you reach about ritalist level bonus to pets phys, and once you get wrathlord or allfather levels of phys boosting the pets rip the game apart...

Idk what's so good about lich king... he's pretty slow at killing stuff compared to wolves for me. He'll be better in epic and legendary I think.

I maxed wolves (just the summon) first they killed pretty much everything in 1 hit. After that I went lich, nymph and the nature healing skill somewhere along the line. Besides that go with w/e you want. I like to play multiplayer so while my pets mow everything down I just focus on healing the party and opening chests.

Also, if you max wolves and find a mastery shrine you can summon 3 level 20 wolves.

with bonus to pets he does insane damage, maxed wrath shell is 80% dps absorb so he will take only 20% from everything in game, then he lifesteals whenever he does anything using the pet bonsues to stay alive..of couse he cannot lifesteal from constructs and undead so thats where he has trouble and might die but once you hit epic he gets a massive hp boost and can survive even without his lifesteal...

also if you level the base move he learns the same annoying move the priests in act2 use (undead ones) does massive % to max hp if enemy isnt vit immune, lowers enemy resists (all of them) a lot) and heals himself for all that hp if enemy isnt vit immune...and again if you do things like elemental or physical (perferably physical cause wolf's strength of the pack is boosting phys, that move will life steal a ton of hp healing him back up) and his aoe move around him if enemy isnt vit immune he does a ton of dps, lifesteals, and does it really fast...

and ya without any bonus to pets, enemies immune to vit will give him trouble, hand him phys pet bonus and his 80% immunity to everything, lifestealing like crazy, and being boosted by strength of the pack if you use phys he will wreck face....only flaw now is he loves to keep his distance so command him to take the front lines esp after epic and the enemy wont be able to kill him esp once you get the +!00% hp again in epic and once hes in legendary even the hardest bosses in teh game have trouble killing him due to him lifestealing so much and absorbing everything..but without bonus to pets he does die to undead/contructs but is still useful for that resist down..if you arent playing a petmaster then let him use his defualt ai to keep his distance as he has trouble vs vit immunes and doesnt have bonus to pets to help him out, petmasters should always command him to take the front lines to tank for everyone

wolves are indeed dps pets, maxed survival instinct and base wolf skil with enough + to skills to get 3 and as many bonus to all pets phys as you can stack they wreck face esp after their hp drops below 33% and they turn on maxed survival instinct and then stack sterngth of the pack ontop that to fix mp problems as spirit+nature you have to use the dark covent (it drains your hp but gives massive dps and energy regen to everything) and turn on spirit ward to make undead a non issue...wthout survival instinct the enemies will wreck them in seconds and in normal mode they still get wrecked but hopefully your liche and you can tank for them while they kill things as they are the best dps pets in the game esp after epic and that +100% hp again...

and again, with deathchill, plague, and other things, even with a staff you can get up close and you want too anyways cause ternion attack can land all 3 hits if you are closer and debuffing them with deathchill for your pets helps them kill things faster and lowers the enemy combat capabilities..or you can go str build instead and grab key of elusium melee weapon
https://www.tq-db.net/equipment/key-of-elysium
and randomly summon in more pets every time you hit the enemy and be able to gear yourself up better for close range combat to debuff enemies via deathchill..
