Farming Sapros

Is there a good place to farm Sapros in early legendary? Just did 50 x3 Polympheus runs and haven't seem him wielding a single unique club. The chest drops were crap also. So he doesn't look like a very good option.

Early in legendary Poly probably is your best bet, though. Nessus perhaps, but it's also not ideal. Barmanu would be next in line, but act3 isn't really early in legendary.

It seems to have a better chance to drop in act 1 legendary. Talos and Hydra (possibly Telkine) would be the best chests to farm for it. As mentioned above Nessus can also wield it like the Cyclops. Barmanu dual wields so you would have 6 drop chances with xmax x3. There was a thread on the old TQ forums about trying to find one. Some people got it from boarmen in the warcamps. There are also a lot of farming horror stories like doing hundreds of Hydra runs for days to finally get one.

I personally only found 3 in over 1000 hours played. First was off Polyphemus, the other 2 from boss chests but can't remember which.

Sapros drops for me the most frequently from Hades. I'm not even sure I've seen that particular weapon drop outside of act 4 legendary. I've never seen some items drop in specific acts, other items I've seen drop in all for acts, etc.

Thanks for reply guys. Went to Barmanu, but I can't kill more than one at the time right now. So, back to Poly. Oh, poor cyclop...

The runs I used to do specifically for Sapros:
- Start at the well after Hydra. Run through the warcamp towards Hydra. If you see any boarmen, kill them, if not, just rush through. Kill Hydra.
- Port to Megara and do the Poly run.

Eventually I got my Sapros from the boarmen. This run has a pretty high chance of Sapros, plus you will get some decent extra drops from Hydra as well.
