Altar of Eternity Bug

Hello everyone, I have an issue with Altar of Eternity (that one which moves you to Babylon):
nothing happens when I click on the Altar (I have the sceptre of eternity of course). Did anyone meet this before?

I tried it already, also reinstalled game and tried to pass the portal few times. Nothing works.

It says "Go to the Babylon", I never used mods.

There seems to be a very small but steady number of people that have trouble with roadblocking portals / doors. Not heard of this one before though. Normally what seems to happen is someone uses an item to open a door and then quits out before getting the save point beyond it. For 'reasons' the door will be shut next time and they'll have no item to open it again.

Your best bet is to join someone else's game in multiplayer and have them portal you past the blockage. That definately works as its been used here multiple times. What also works sometimes is a player joining your game that has already completed that quest. I helped a chap who got locked out of the Act 5 door that requires the Icthian Relic. I just walked upto it in his game and it opened.

If you want some online help and are using Windows (Linux version can't join Windows and yes I couldn't help someone because of this) add me and we can try either option. Assuming you know how multiplayer works for TQ it should take a few minutes.

PROBLEM SOLVED - I basically jumped through this quest in multiplayer game - you need to have exact same version of the game (like in my Anniversary Edition's case). Much thanks for everyone who responded - see ya in game!
