How is the drop rate?

The only thing that killed the original TQ was how embarassingly bad the drop rates were for items. Has this changed at all? I felt like finding a single set item was a miricle level oppertunity.

if you look at the database..many items have a .1% drop rate or worse esp on the purples...couple of them are like .001%..though bosses have 10+ chances per run but you'll notice a lot of yellows anyways..and bosses usually waste their 10+ drops on gold or relics or random yellows..

It got worse. Much worse.

And now, if you do not own the Ragnarok DLC, half of your drops will still be DLC-only items, that you can't pick up. Just watch them bounce on the ground and sparkle. In Normal, you'll see mostly greys, whites, and yellows. You'll get to where finding a green or MI that you can actually pick up will giuve you an actual stroke.
And the old guarateed Blue drop fights will still drop a blue... but pretty much pnly new DLC-only items, rarer than an honest politician to see one that base-game-only players can even pick up.

Yeah. Buy the DLC or get ready for the base game alone to really suck. Hope you like grinding>farming>grinding>farming... just to get greens.

I find plenty of greens, blues and purples on Legendary mode even before farming with mods like Xmax and M4xxboss3s. The chart is fairly accurate on the percentage of luck to get most items. Stonebinders aren't that hard to get. Revenant set and some other monster rares seem extremely hard. Oh and Batrachos Greaves seem nonexistant in AE addition.

If you farm long enough you'll eventually get some stuff but getting a complete set is very hard. I recomend trading with someone here.

... drop rates are terrible .... you will find some rare items, often repeatedly the same ones, posibly some set items, but good luck on trying to get the whole set ...

Drop rates are Ok. You probably will get decent gear without farming. Perfect gear will require a fair amount of farming.

Drop rates are about the same as those of other Hack and Slash ARPGs.

as long as you are not looking for 1 specific item, the .001% chance on multiple purples and uusally 10+ chances per boss means you will get some purples reasonabily fast but it might not be the one you wanted though most purples are amazing the moment you hit epic difficulty..

i love this game, but grim dawn has far ,FAR better drop rates.

You need mods to increase the drop rate or you'll never see an Epic and you'll never complete a relic for formulas. That's just bad game design, PEROID!! These companies suck!! Zero understanding of game-balance!!
