Nature's a fun one. Are you planning melee, bow, or staff? Do you have a second mastery in mind?

I basically just don't allocate any stats until I need to for equipment. It's probably gonna be a combo of strength and dexterity or intelligence and dexterity, though.

Yea you only need str for any armor you might want to wear. Nature doesn't have a caster spell or any direct attack either. So if your nature only then you don't really need much int either except to wear items. Dex is important because if it is too low you can get critical hits.

Don't add energy but some health is good. By around level 16 some bosses can do about 1500 damage, so it helps to have about 1800 life by then. You can get it with 'heart of oaks' though.

You get bonus stats for each point you put to level mastery, up to level 32. Each mastery has different emphasis on what points you get.

If your going to add a second mastery, you would then have to decide if that other mastery is for casting or just what. Casters benefit from INT. DEX helps with defense and STR with offense for melee types. Nature is not melee unless you add a 2nd mastery that is.

Not sure yet...Going wolves, so hunter seems like a natural choice. Ive played GD so i have an idea of how I think the leveling will play out.

Melee pet champion is very viable, though I prefer the staff version. My next build is going to be a staff soothsayer. Any of the three options can potentially work, but I do think it lends itself more to ranged attacks.

I like my ranger. Wolves tear through most everything, but you're still powerful enough to take on bosses if they get wiped out, though you're at the mercy of the quality of the bow you can find. If you want bows, you'll need to balance enough STR for armor with enough DEX to use bows. That'll probably be 1:1 until at least a few hunderd points in DEX.

I did a pet build with nature/earth. 3 wolves with +2 skill equip, and core dweller. I killed less than 100 monsters in normal with those pets to get the achievement for that. I never died either in normal but it wasn't the fastest to level obviously. Wolves all died at major monsters, especially Tyhon (sp?). I had to reskill to get past him.

For something like that you don't really need stats except for equipment and I took more health because I wanted the hardcore normal achievment.

nature/hunter would be good combo. You can get by with wolves until you find a nice bow.

Usually for melee/ranged I'll go 1/1 str/dex and for a caster 1/1 int/dex. A nice trick from Poinas many years ago is to use the bonus attribute points you get from some quests to boost health/energy. These are the Chiron's bow quest, the main quest when you hand over the Hand of Balance and the Eye of Chaos to Imhotep and the Terracotta Soldiers quest. Each one gives you 2 attribute points so 6 per difficulty, 18 in total. In TQIT that meant a boost to health or energy of 450, in AE I believe it's even higher. You can split them if you want to of course and put some in health and some in energy if you feel you need to boost both.

Well if doing it like that I would honeslty always go health, if you got a build that require energy you should be getting enough of that from upping the mastery anyway
Yeah, I put them into health most of the time.

Never add points to health and energy. Only str/dex for melee/archer and int for mages, you need very small amount of dex to wear everything for mages so add there like 10 points or do it only when you need.

Depends on what you play. Poinas' Pwning with Spirit guide for TQIT you need a lot of dex because you're basically meleeing foes with Ternion. Doing a ranged caster yeah, just enough to wear items.

Yea but what i said is general and basic for most of builds but when you want to make something unusual you have to test a bit :D Here he said he is a new player so it will be enough :D Adding points to health is useless because at normal game is too easy and at epic and legendary that few points mean nothing and it is better have more more str or dex which increases your chance to avoid hits which are muuuuch more than 200 or 300 which you can get from health stat points. If you cant play without additional energy because you dont get any from items or artifacts and you are stuck at basic 300 you can eventually add a few :D
