Update #5 (1.4) Stability & System library update (6th December: Hotfix)

This time we dont have a long changelog. However we reworked the code to improve stability and did a system library update. Because of this its very important that we receive your feedback if anything is different than before - also the mod tools.


As of 1st December this update is now in the default branch again, we added:
- Fixed bug, where "Hardcore Player" achievement could unlock during multiplayer game without meeting the criteria.
- Fixed bug, where "Double Standard" achievement couldn't be unlocked.
- Items can be pickup directly by clicking them when the old mechanics is used ("Toggle item pickup option" turned off).

Hotifx:

6th December Hotfix:
- Stability improvements
- Fixed caravan window when using 1024x768 resolution

Have you made any changes for example compatibility mode in game properties? Go in to the system folder and make sure you dont have TQ.exe set to anything other than the default.

I had to go in and uncheck compatibilty mode after the latest update was pushed, my game now starts up fine after setting it back to default.

Also BIG THANK YOU to NGdevone and Megalomaniac for a quick fix, it took a few more updates but still you found the problem fast and fixed it fast so THANK YOU GUYS! Edit: well at least if not quite fixe yet, at least people can play for now :)

The branch contains 1.4 patch with changes that might fix the issue.

No change for me here either, just like F 60.9 it still crashes in the publicbeta branch. Same Direct X message too no update necessary after going to your link.

1.32 still works after opting out of publicbeta and going back to stable 1.32.

When I press Alt + F4 to exit to my desktop and then get back to the game it doesn't work properly. Often it is only black screen. Please fix it. Win 10 x64.

This does not work either for me.. After opting out of the beta (that did not work) I now get the TQ.exe stopped working error, both in win 10 safe mode and when launching the game normally.

Thank you its working again, but the game version is 1.32, I assume the problem was in the new updates' libraries. So, when the fixed update will rollout ?

The wonderful part is that they made it harder to beat the Titan on Olympus. I have done it on Immortal throne and The Original Titan Quest but this one is knocking me senseless

I've tried running the publicbeta but it's not working, tried also downloading dxwebsetup and running it but my pc has the latest version installed. Can we please know what kind of system library updates this patch brings? Are those updates made to prepare the game for future updates or something like that?
