Scroll of Invocation - Door doesn't open. Suggestions
So steam overwrote an older version of my character after almost completing act 4. Now back in Egypt act 2, and on completing killing the big bug and collecting the scroll of Invocation, the door.... doesn't open. :lunar2020stubbornhorse: and no matter how many times I have saved the game, and return to pick up a new scroll:ftired:. The door fails to open.
Any suggestions?
Will I have to start a new character all over again? Really hope not, as my last character too was corrupt. :Lurcher:

Never happened to me... Anyway, you should try to stand near the exit and press the "K" key ... This "resets" the character and sometimes works to position you where you should be by logic. Hope this works for you, regards.
Nope, that didn't fix it either. It just resets me back to the room before, where I had killed the big bug boss and the little baby bugs. Another thing led me to believe that profile is corrupt too, like the one before, is that the side quests for Eqypt are not showing. Won't even let me give the family Heirloom sword. Yet when I speak to the npc he keeps saying he needs the sword. Even after I get it and try to give it to him. Damn NPC's!:conwaypunch:

I think this may have been caused by playing with a friend who had more advanced missions than yours, something broke out there ... That being so ... How about putting your game in multiplayer again and inviting that friend, ask him/her to open a portal to you in the next region? In this way you can record at the fountain and/or mark the corresponding portal. Or just try to kill the Scarab together and see what happen... Maybe a coop play can break your curse... Regards!
