Final boss of base game impossible to kill
Not sure how you're supposed to beat him if he's constantly draining all your health, summoning meteors and casting that spiky armour on himself all the time. Like, he just doesn't stop. I barely seem him use a basic melee attack.

Got a bit of health from him? Ok, now he can do his health drain, nearly kill you and get all his health back. Got a chance to hit him? Only hit him once because now he has spiky armour...oh and he just summoned meteor first so then he summons spiky armour.

Don't like it? Tough, you aren't winning and never will, have fun using up all your potions fighting something that will never die.

Everything was easy on my Conqueror up to this point, even the enemies leading up to Typhon.
This boss just has every single concievable way to screw you over and will use it asap, which is always and every time.

You did not mentionned the difficulty level, so I will assume it's at Normal? Maybe you are underleveled. What is your level? If it's anything below 30 then it's entirely understandable that you have difficulties.

Few tips:
Use scrolls to help you out.
Make sure you have good gear.
Consider increasing your vitality resistance if the life drain attack troubles you.
Note the presence of shrines around the battleground, use them.
Ask the help of a friend (why not?)

which mode are you in? normal mode?

use the scroll of sky rage, lightning will stun typhon, pop ur colossus and battle standard, and he is down in less than 1 min

what is your level and skill set? items? may be some setting need to be adjusted.

conqueror is one of the most tanky character with awesome damage and alot of resist due to defense skill

He's tougher on some builds, I agree that it was very frustrating on some of them.
Get scrolls, they do help. Also, if you die, you're better off restarting the game so the shrines are reactivated. And as WNG said, get some vitality resist items. Switch them on just for that fight then throw them away if you don't need them =)

I believe I'm at 32.
I'm using the shrines but since I barely have a window to attack, I don't get a chance to use them before they run out.
I'd rather not do online stuff since I know of the problems it causes with quests. Plus I don't have friends anyways.

I've not got colossus form or battle standard due to the build I'm using (which was working really well up until this point.)

Also I never once found vitality resist items and never once found any blue items.
I've got some charms and relics with vitality resist in them but I was saving them for Hades because that guy also tends to remove all my life quickly with any build I've played.

The only way I've ever beaten him is with ranged chars by standing by the entrance to the arena and baiting him over, hitting him and then running away before he can attack so he walks back to the center of the arena.

Only reason I stopped doing ranged chars is due to my damage always beeing awful and getting worse once I head to Act IV

Never found a good build for those and I heard they're more gear intensive and more for the best players. With noobs like me being best suited to Conqueror or something.

Seems I'm never getting to do the dlc.

32 should be fine to hit typhon

could try to reset some skill point

if it is a gear problem you could try to farm the telkine, shop the hale ring/ amulet, pop in the demon blood or monkey king, or raptor tooth.

you can go to the following web:
https://www.kirmiziperfect.com/titancalc-anniversary-edition/

put your skill set there and copy the link here for more suggestion

colossus and battle standard are very important for conqueror, you can reset some other skill for these, and later change back if you wish to.

I guess it's a good time to change the build and try battle standard now.

Hhmm.....since it's just this fight, maybe if I remove all points from adrenaline and put them all in colossus and rest in standard.
Trying to think of what skills and passives won't cripple me if I remove them.

This is the current build I'm using
https://www.kirmiziperfect.com/titancalc-anniversary-edition/TitanCalc738c738c738c.html?mastery=Conquerer&master1=5&master2=3&sa=21&m1=32-0-1-0-6-12-0-0-6-6-6-12-0-0-6-8-6-6-0-0-6-0&m2=32-6-1-8-0-8-6-0-0-0-0-0-0-6-0-0-0-0-0-6-0

Both masteries are maxed out but I haven't maxed out all skills yet (almost for basic onslaught and adrenaline), mostly just a single point in them all.

Finally done it, it took full colossus form, 4 points in battle standard, a scroll of the sky's rage and 57% in vitality resistance to do it

Even then, colossus form died out halfway and I still had a hard time doing it.

Congrats!

Even though they'll be pretty weak at the end of Immortal Throne, I'm going to keep the items I put the vitality resist onto so I can add them onto whatever else I get with vitality resist.

and now everything goes back to being weak after Typhon.
Pannathrax Mar 24, 2018 @ 10:15am
i would suggest the adrenaline line no need to put full point at early stage, and also the passives from the shield, 1 point is enough and use + skill items to boost them. shield charge 1 point also. you can up later if you want.

boost battle standards > onslaught > rally/war horn > battle awareness, extra points then only go for passives would be more smooth to progress.

hallowed helm/ stone binders cuff/ shield to add defense skill would boost the skills even though if you have just 1 point in them.

Progress is pretty smooth with the build I'm using anyway, it's just Typhon and Hades that prove a bit of a challenge.
