Odor Spell piece(s) locations.
Saw a lot of posts about the spell pieces and thought I'd add my 2 cents worth...
(SPOILERS BELOW)


This is for legendary only (as they drop random in other levels)

1st piece: In Egypt as you start egypt work way through the city (looking for sword heirloom) fight way north to next rebirth fountain. Go through little gate and start looking up (north?) You'll see a old wooden fence (it is destroyable) just beyond that is the spell piece that reads 'head of spell'...

2nd piece: Lxian woods: Sorry don't remember the name of the temple (temple of Propious or something like that) The map north of Media where you have several quests. Once you have the "Grey one's eye" (you can open the secret wall door until you have this eye)
Go to the temple and the secret passage is in the northwest (top left) room with a gold cauldron.
This is the formula and lists the other spell pieces.

These pieces have been in the same location every character I've played through... I have one other peice but don't remember where I found it...some cave in Ragnarok.

If you have other locations please list them here for others even (screen caps) Only list Legendary as other levels drop random from what I heard.
Will add more when I find them...

This has been covered in other threads. But just so you know, the difficulty does NOT change the locations and they are always the same so whoever told you it's random was wrong. 1: Act 2-
Rhakotis Slums through a breakable wooden barrier. 2: Act 3- In a cave northeast of the Jade Palace waypoint. 3: Act 4- Great Hall of Propontis. You must bring the Eye from the Grey sisters with you and click on a fountain thing (this one is the recipe, the other 3 are the spell pieces). 4: Also Act 4- Pull a lever in the cave of Artemis and this opens an area in the cave of Apollo where the last piece is. They are always in these locations. Take it all to the enchanter and craft the weird little item and you're good to go.

Hmmmm...have never found one in the cave past the Jade Palace Waypoint. (and I have 6 characters that have played through that area) :-/
Will have to recheck...thanks!

it's a new cave added with ragnarok. It's in that tiny swamp area north of the vedor by the waypoint. Not the long cave that leads to the Dragon Lich. Slightly hard to spot when you aren't specifically looking for it, but I promise it's there lol

Yup I got it...seems to be the age old problem with TQ, the time it takes for tres to drop. Just like if you kill a bunch of NPCs in an area and go back, (I only pick up green items or better) I've found more green items lying there.
Seem to remember this problem back when I first played TQ and apparently hasn't been fixed for speedier PCs.
I remember chatting with one of the devs back when it came out and they said they were going to add an extra 'jade statue' as players were having probs with it dropping... (that's why you can find 2 of them in the orient)
Guess no one has fixed the drop problem. :-/

yeah, as much as I love seeing loot fly out of dead bodies and chests, I think at this point I'd be happy with it just appearing in a list lol. A little immersion breaking, but I hate the idea of missing a blue or a purple because of bad mechanics. Anyhoo, glad you found it :)

Saw where you have to take the 3 spell pieces to the vender (with the lightning over his head) and transmorg...then go talk to the guy next to the autotorium/ statium in Delphi.

Problem is unless you have a formula you can't put anything in his slots...
Sooo, I seem to remember with one of my other chars, I did find a spell formula...and dumped it because at the time I didn't know what it was for...

Lol, now if I could only rmember where I found that formula... ;-)

Look at the very first comment on this thread. I say where all the pieces are including the recipe lol

Lol, yupper...
Anyhow, I have all the 4 peices...and realized that I really didn't want to backtrack just to do the quest. :-D

Did the turtle one back at Rhodes several times and doing another fight and die again...and have to backtracka way to do it...just didn't appeal to me anymore... (hmmm, could I be burning out on TQ?) :-D

I finished the Legendary difficulty and went back to make the key, but the gray sisters don't drop the eye again. Why?

The gray sisters won't drop it occasionally...it's a known bug. I've had it happen a few times to me. Sadly you have to 'quit' restart from the last rebirth and usually you'll get it. (i've never had them fail to drop it twice in a row)

Now as you've finished the game (or enough to go back and beat them) you need that eye to get the spell piece in the far right dungeon. (I assume you mean the key for the prim rose path bonus quest)
If you got through the Medea's portal not sure how you did that as you have to give the eye to her to finish the game (after you get the puzzle piece from the secret vault)
