How to beat Nessus ?

Lv 5 warrior. Fighting solo and can't out DPS him, tried running in circles but hes too fast, well he is a Centaur. Healing potions seem to have a long cooldown. Hes very difficult to beat especially for a first boss type. Maybe I need to level up even more by killing things but that could take a while.

dude i played the game like 7.8 times in my life
never ever died even 1 time on him
I just came up to him and start hiting hit
when my HP is like 75% i use heal ,and over and over again ,just hiting him as soon as heal is not on cd i use it again
You must be doing somheting wrong ,talents or stats ,a warrior you only stack HP and STR .
Dont no what to tell you
Try to use you tube for video or guide ,how to level up warrior ,and try that way

He's a warrior not a druid he does not have "Heal" and learn to spell.

lvl5 might be a bit under level, using a bow to kite it is doable but take some time to kill.

a poison bow or elemental bow could be useful

It is posible you maybe didn't invest your skills in dps skills?

Kill some random monsters until you hit lvl 6, trying finding or buying gear if you are missing some pieces.

Make sure you dispose of adds first, even if you have to run in, kill one, run away and then repeat when you are healed.

Lv 7 and still had trouble. I put my points in strength, dex and health. Hes doing so much damage and he has a ton of HP himself. I checked around a bit and it does seem alot of people had trouble with him but no real solutions are mentioned just that hes brutal for the time you have to fight him. I'm using mostly yellow gear with some minor abilities and the best I been able to buy/find but they all say lv3 requirements. As this is very early in the game I am confused, it seems too early to mess on builds which I don't think I done anyway and even tho the warrior is said to be more on attack and lower on defense I didn't expect this guy to be so difficult so early in the game.

Don´t put points in health. str:dex between 2:1 and 1:1 for warrior. Mastery levels give you attribute boni, which at the start can be worth more than skills. Good starting skills are Weapon Training, Onslaught und Battle standart.

I beat him at last by using a few health potions. This may seem obvious but as I said in my OP it would only let me use one but this time I saw the cooldown bar for the potions move. I wonder if something is wrong with my game as sometimes loot bars of what treasure is don't always show right away when for example loot comes out of chest. I had have a bit fo trouble on the instalation which after checking it was due to various antvirus programs. Maybe its nothing but seems strange anyway.

ok cool, I was going to take my second special in defense, should I stil do dex and str ?

Yes, for physical combat str and dex, for mages int and dex. Health and mana aren´t worth investing for the most builds.

ok, interesting as health in particular is very important in most games. I guess dex dosn't increase defense vs magic too.

One more question , Should essences be used right away or is it worth saving them ?

Worth saving to have them complete (5 for a charm, 3 for a relic), they are better and have a random bonus for completion. You'll need them to create artifacts later in the game.

As for enhancing items, I always use them on green stuff, never yellow one.

Defense against magic can be obtained by items and skills. Defensive ability only helps against melee.

I'm at Nessus. I have a level 6 warrior with 95 strength Weapon Training at level 6. My weapon is does 13 - 28 damage with 2 - 5 fire damage. I have 580 health.

I can barely scratch Nessus and his blows each take off around 1/8 - 1/3 of my health. My blows take off around 1/50 of his health or less.

If I'm able to take him down, it'll require a LOT of potions.

But I think I'll have to farm XP to level up again to have a decent chance. And to do that, I'll have to quit the game and reload it because all mobs are already cleared out. I've already done that a couple of times and that's what got me to level 6. But level 6 is still insufficient, it seems.

Nessus is level 9.


After closing the game and reloading it to repopulate the mobs and then farming XP to level 7, I was able to defeat Nessus by spamming 6 or 7 health potions in a row.

I've always waited until lvl 9. I farm those skeletons just before you get to the next town. Quite often there is an experience shrine or 2 there and helps a lot.

Easier with some classes than others, though using several potions is not unusual. Should be generally manageable at level 6 though probably not easy. With warfare, I'd want battle standard by this point.
