Sage for mage
After some resereach for strom i never see anyone who says something good about it so i wanted to try it myself

Im not pro at this game but for mage its good in my opinion at least for start it is im only lvl 6 on this char

Only problem huge groups like skeletons since staffs are slow

So thats why i was thinking to get hunting even tho im going to play as a mage becuase of faster attack and dummy and net too

But im not sure if that faster attack is only for bows/spear and hunting gives dex skill which is im not going to need

What are you guys suggest

(Except dream and rune i dont have the dlc)

-Sorry for mistakes

Yes, only for bows/spears, not staff or anything else.

Woodlore increases attack speed only for bow and spear, Call of the Hunt increases AS for all weapons, but it´s only a temporary buff. Flush out can temporarily rduce enemys elemental resistance, so it could be pretty usefull.
The dex from hunting is usefull for mages, top mage gear needs around 150 to 170 dex.

You're right, you don't need that much dexterity. As SLK pointed out correctly, a maximum of 150 to 170 is required, the rest should go into intelligence and health. Intelligence will be your main stat because of magical damage boost and energy regeneration.
Besides, Titan Quest's start has always been painfully slow, especially because you need to kite so much in the early game, but the pace does increase later in the game when you finally get enough gear with +n% casting/movement speed. If you want to play as a spell caster, you could combine Storm with Spirit, Earth, or Nature.

I said, that you DO need that much dex (or spend points on dex). With the dex boni from Storm and Hunting you have 162 dex.
Yes, the main stat for mages is int.
Storm and Dream seem to be a good combinatian too, as Storm gives lightning damage and Dream electrical burn damage.

youve got two debuffs for elemental resist and on top of that storm skills have reflect and lightning retaliation, that alone will get you through the game lol

Dream is part of the base game.

Elemental damage is really strong in early game, because the enemies have low resistances, but it doesn´t scale as well as physical damage later on. Because of that resistance reduction is really usefull.

Sorry, didn´t think of that.

Back to the main question: Uses of Hunting for a mage build:
1. Hunting gives the dex needed for top mage gear
2. Hunting can reduce enemies elemental resistance
3. Hunting can temporarily boost your attack speed
4. Hunting gives a good amount of HP and has a skill that increases your HP regeneration, making you less squishy
5. Monster Lure is usefull to distract enemies
6. Ensnare is usefull, to keep enemies at range
