A Gargantuan Yeti

So, I just did this quest with a character that existed before the AE, but hadn't yet gotten that far in the game. When it was completed I noticed that it rewarded 100% health to pets. I didn't recall this before, so I did a quick search, and sure 'nuff, it's new. Pretty neat!

So, I loaded up an older pet having character that had already done the quest to see if it rewarded it retroactively. Well, the quest isn't even in the quest list for that character, or any of my older characters for that matter! If I go to the questgiver in Shangshung Village, they have a diamond over their head instead of an exclamation point. Talking to them gives the exact dialog that starts the quest, but the quest does not start. Killing the Yeti does not appear to complete it or reward anything.

So, what's up with this? Do older characters that have already done this just not get the reward? If that's the case, do they still get the reduced health bonuses to pets that were added on higher difficulties to compensate for this reward? I couldn't find anything anywhere that addressed this.

So this means these chars can't get the full 300% Health bonus which s*chs

When AE first came out I imported my old TQ / TQ:IT character. None of the quests from Helios in Act 1 up to where I was in the Immortal Throne part were listed in the quest list.

I was able to go back to Helios and take the first quest and then continue on covering all the quests & map's til I got back up to where I had left off.

That might be the case for you and if so, you probably can't take that one quest because as far as the game knows you haven't done anything prior to it.
