Monster vs Damage type
There are several monster type in the game: Beast, Beastmen, Undead, Ghost, Magic, Construct, Device, Insectoid, Plants, Giant, Titan, and Deity.

There is also 8 type of damage: Physical, Pierce, Bleed, Poison, Vitality, and Elemental(Fire, Cold, Lightning).

Can somebody tell each monster type weaks against what kind of damage?

I read somewhere that undead absorb poison, bleed, and vitality, but on other instance it was stated that they also resist physical and elemental. Is this true?

Bosses usually have 80% Life Leech and Energy Leech Resistance, 60-70% Energy Burn Resistance, 65-85% Percental Health Damage Resistance, 1000% Slow Resistance, 1000% Resistance vs. all debuffs (stun, trap, freeze, etc) and vs. Skill Disruption plus anything a specific boss gets on top.

Well, ghosts for sure have a huge phys res. Pierce too, probably. Their weakness is elemental dmg.

Magical enemies seem to resist phys and pierce as well.

Constructs and devices obviously cannot be damaged by poison, bleed an vitality.

Not sure about plants, as I wasn't paying much attention to it and there are few of them in the game, but logically they can't bleed and should resist poisons (since poisons are made out of plants mostly). But they should be highly susceptible to fire though.

Titan and deity are boss types, so high resistances to all damages is to be expected.

Beasts and beastmen should take full damage from all sources I believe. Also the undead are immune to bleed and vitality, iirc. But somehow you can damage them with vita dmg using Deathchill's resistance reduction.

Hmm, was planning to build poison/bleed caster Illusionist with a bit of pierce damage. It seems it gonna struggle for the majority of the game especially in legend against those nasty undead and ghost type

Undead also have high poison absorption (60-80% I believe), the problem with absorption defense is that cannot be mitigated in any way.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I forgot that one, Constructs have: 100% Vitality Resistance, 1000% Bleeding, Life Leech, and Energy Leech Resistance, 100% Percental Health Damage Resistance
Almost the same exact for the Vitality part.

Some day someone at Pieces should have a long hard look on all the resistances and other basic game mechanics and bring everything in line, but well, that's be a lot of work and time is money.
