We are looking into why this happens, it is a false positive.

I whitelisted both the download folder and the empty Titan Quest AV folder just in case, but I still got the disk write error, this time at 1.2 GB downloaded.
Edit: Hold on, it picked up the download again without complaint this time. Let's hope that'll continue until it's properly downloaded.
... or not, the error reared its head 100 MB later and the exe in question which keeps causing the error, despite being whitelisted, is the Editor.exe.
Disabling my antivirus did to the trick for the disk writing error. I then got a surprise in form of a second error, missing permissions. In case anybody else experiences this: What solved that issue for me: I had two steam game folders and I found out that Titan Quest Anniversary Edition wants to be installed in the installation path. So I finally got it installed. *gives it a shot* :)
I got absolutely same problem as you. I couldn`t solve this problem by myself But You helped me solve it!! TY
I tried everything:
1. disabling AV
2. white listing Steam install directory
3. Uninstall Reinstall
4. Clear Download Cache.
I don't wanna go so far as to backup everything, uninstall steam and reinstall..
So when you have problems to continue the install, try a reboot before giving up on the game.
Won't do that. Steam is not any sort of strongly tested and verified games center. I would do it on a per game basis.
