Is there really anything to use gold on later in the game
In the early game you need some amount of gold to expand inventory, reclaim relics/charms and craft artifacts. But having reached act 2 the amount of gold I am accumulating seems to completely outrace my need for gold. Is there really anything to save gold for once you have passed the 1 000 000 gold stage?

Thanks :-)

Merchants can have really nice green items for sale. You can also buy certain scrolls that could come in handy. Other than that, there is not much to do with your gold.

Thanks, that's what I suspected :-)

Re-speccing skill points is the main one IMO, some skills scale less well as you go through the higher difficulties.
Occasionally there's a nice piece of green kit in shops, and if they're worth having they tend to be very expensive too.

Creating artifacts gets pricey the farther you go. In Epic they cost a million to make, and it goes up from there. If you farm to make multiple copies of each artifact trying to get a good completion bonus, it adds up. Money has some usefulness if you're a hardcore player, but if you just want to complete the game in Legendary and be done with it, money isn't all that important. But ofc if you are farming, you can just sell the items you get from that, and skip lower quality item pickups during regular play. Saves time, since the delay on item drops is long in this game.

Thanks for the info, folks :-)

You will get rid of your gold - no problem. Using Relics and charms on green gear and the prying them off again can be very expensive, Merchants (opposed to D3 for example) can have very good items (green) and they can cost a fortune, creating Artifacts can also be very costly, so dont worry even if it seems like you dont really need it at times, you will.
