One shotted by Hades on Normal
I'm currently playing as lvl 41 melee dual wield StoneSpeaker and in Normal difficulty. I defeated Hades first time easily but when trying to kill him again to get that overlord token (for secret door) I'm getting one shotted no matter what!
Its not that spiral thingy, his normal red orb attack at both melee and range is killing me in one shot.
If i charge (thunder Strike) at him then i end up being dead at his feet before even the attack connects.
Next if i try to dodge and reach him he still attacks with that red orb and kills me in 1 shot
I can take his melee attack no problem with that.
Have pretty good gear for normal. Having 350-400 armor and 770 DA.
The Hades is of level 56.

Is this a bug ? or intended? If so how to not to get one shotted.

Pump your vitality resist to 80%, you can use demon's blood for that. And how much is your character's health? Remember that Hades does vitality and physical damage.
On another note, the animation for Hades throwing the orb is slow, so you can just run around till he throws it then wreck him again.

He has a (basically) insta-kill move. A red orb that splits into several smaller ones. Those small things already do a lot of damage and the big orb does the damage of all the smaller ones combined.

As said by everyone, pump up your vitality resistance. Report back if you still have the issue? To me Hades feel much easier now compared to TQIT.

Badly my Vita resit was 0%
health 1.9k

I tried to pump up my Vit resist' but, didn't had any gear with it and also couldn't add Demon's blood as my rings and amulets are blue items.

I tried running around and hit when possible. Casting Seal of Fate is a nightmare (sadly requires lot of casting time).
Doing this killed him 2-3 times. Stopped farming him for Overload token and took it from another character. lol

Thanks all, for the info and help.

Remember, if you want to quickly pump up your vitality resistance, or any other resistance for that matter, just vendor a few items which give good resistances. Try to reach %50 resistance at least, no need to max it out. I have a stock of green rings and amulets with dual resistances imbued with charms and relics. Works well to switch it in for your blue items before a boss fight.

The Rune mastery skill Rune of Life actually gives you Vitality resitance. With that and one item with Vitality resistance should be plenty to handle Hades.

I should also add: That red orb may still kill you with max Vitality resistance if you have low hitpoints. He generally won't use that attack when your in melee range.
