Open the Southern Gate Bug

Hi,

I have completed all needed sub-quest to open the gate + relic in inventory.

Only left sub quest is "Open the southern gate"

But Gate is not opening with clicking the mechanism.

I have killed all enemies 100 times. I have reloaded the game.

I have followed all solutions i was able to find in the Internet.

I also have deleted the quest file but game has recreated it.

Nothing worked for me. I really dont want to start from scratch.

Online as Host was also not working for me.

Has someone an Idea? Or a save game around this time in game with gate open?

I found this I hope this will help you out.

Solution" for broken quests
After reading a lot of possible solutions and not finding one that didn't break my game I started experimenting a lot and found one acceptable solution that worked for me so I thought I would share it for everyone who can't continue with the game's story due to a broken quest line.

My "solution" was to delete the Quest.myw file found in:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\my games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne/SaveData/Main/_Maximus/Levels_World_World01.map/Normal

This will delete ALL of your completed quests and render your quest log innaccesible until you head to greece to the very first city and speak with the man who gives you the first quest after you get off the boat, the one with the horse running around. This will let you access your quest log but it will be empty.

The good thing about this is that everything else is still in tact so you can travel anywhere, your explored maps are still saved, your items, stats, everything else but the quests. You can re-do every quest again or just teleport to the latest main quest you were doing and carry on with the story without any problems.

I tried the other suggestions found in the forum of deleting the associated .que files but could never get it to work and I find this solution let me continue after the jade palace questline where none of the gates would open.
I also should add, first try dropping block on ground, then pick it up and click the gate

Hi, Thank you. I tried exactly this hint before but after deletion of mentioned file and starting the game again, somehow he is recreating my quest log and it looks the same as before.. of course i tried afterward to open the gate without success...

When you say you tried online as host did you mean you simply went online or did you get a player to join you that's already done the quest? This happened to another chap a while back. Just by walking up to the gate with my character that had completed the quest the gate opened. The chap with the problem was the host iirc.

- Co-op with someone that passed that gate.
- Ask them open a portal after that gate for you.
- Go through that portal to continue your journey.
- DONE
