Jade Figurine

I completed the Wealthy Collector quest, but shortly after I ended up getting another jade figurine from a chest in a cave. Still says it's a quest item, but the collector won't take it and just gives the same old line. Is this supposed to be for another quest? Or did it duplicate on accident? What am I supposed to do with it?

It's normal that you can find quest items for completed quests again. The item won't have any use in that difficulty anymore so you can basically just drop it.

no...the figurine appers twice!

Once in the cave nearest to the viallage (near the spiders) and another time in a cave ten minutes after this one.
I think to recall that earlier (original TQ) only the latter cave had the figurine.

I think that back in the good old days of "normal" TQ/IT the figurine appeared twice too. There's no use for the second one, I guess it was just forgotten by the devs when they cleaned up/ modified this quest along the creation of the game. Maybe at one point you needed to bring him 2 of them? Maybe there was a change that if dropped in either of the caves?
We will never know.

The figurine has a chance of spawning in more than one cave, but it's only supposed to spawn once per playthrough. I think having it spawn twice is a bug introduced recently.

just an FYI, if you find a second one with the first in your inventory it wont let you pick up another... also if you find you can't drop it because it's a quest item you should be able to send it to the shared storage, make a dump character to claim the item, then delete that character

Teleport to Great Wall village and there is NPC that gives quest for it - in courtyard (north side of village)...

It's a bug pure and simple. Been reported already. It should drop only in one of the two locations.

I usually keep that copy in my trade stash and use it for the next difficulty, this is especially useful for items like the prison warden's key in the Underworld (not exactly quest-related, but great to have early on regardless).
Seems like a bug, but as long as you avoid doing this to main quest items (like the Scroll of Invocation in Act 2- always ignore extra copies of those) this really makes doing quests for the next difficulty a lot easier.

i found the 2nd Jade Figurine as well, after i sent the 1st one to the NPC to get the reward, then i got to another cave and found the 2nd one, i agreed it's a bug simply

I just ignore the 2nd jade figurine, because out of experience you might get stuck with it in inventory.
