Worth farming typhon instead of Ormenos?

I seem to want to really gear up before act4 and so on.. all my gear is very very outdated except for weapons(green+relics).

So typhon or ormenos?

EDIT: I remembered you can use turtle for secret passage! So its worth doing if you can deal with toxeus.

Farm Ormenos instead! Not only is it a quicker battle, but you'll get a lot better drops. I recently fought Typhon three times (20 minute battles each) and got nothing but yellow offerings ALL THREE TIMES. Some people are theorizing that the recent upgrade nerfed some of the boss/monster drops.

I agree, Typhon has been dropping trash for me. I'm capable of blasting Typhon in under a minute and repeated quite a few times, just junk. I've honestly been having more luck just getting epics from random monsters rather than bosses and majestic chests.

Every boss has been dropping nothing but yellows for me. Even on Epic.. :/

Have all of you reset the seed? If you get junk drops from a boss, restart the game.
From my expetience Typhon is better.

Typhon is much better than Ormenos.

Unless it's a hassle for your character I'd do both until you'd rather not anymore. There's a fountain that's fairly close to Ormenos and with enough running speed the jog there doesn't take too long. If you can kill him quickly enough it won't really slow your run down and you'll get the best of both worlds.

EPIC difficulty.
Alright tried 1 hour farmin ormenos:
the idea was, restart the game completely after I get blue item.
Did around 25 runs.
~8 blues
~2 legendaries

all items were crap for my assasin. many shields and mage items :(

will try typhon now.

nope.. nope.. killed 4 times.. died 20times :D no thanks
sometimes it feels he has less hp than ormenos and sometimes it takes forever to kill. Back to ormenos I guess :(

If it makes you feel any better I'm probably not going to leave epic act 3 until I get the Mantle Of Sa'jun. So far I've farmed Ormenos and the Dragon Liche about thirty times in conjunction with killing five hundred or so tiger men. Gaurantee that's going to get a lot higher before the weekends out, I may be adding Typhon to the list.

Dont bother with legendaries on epic. Its really a waste of time. The best is just hydra on legendary, its act1 so easy to reach. But act5 is very long and tedious.. act4 is tough and epic toxeus is going to be insanely tough. Maybe not if he agros my summons.

I've found the Mantle of Sa'jun five times on epic in act three in the past. Twice was with a group, three times solo. I'll get it, just need to be patient, and since it's level 50 epic actually has a greater chance in some ways to give it over. Less clutter of other higher tier drops getting in the way.

Good luck. If you're looking for something specific like I am, you may want to consider adding a certain monster type to the list. I'm killing tiger men, for example, because they wear mantles. I'm sure you already knew that but, food for thought. Just be prepared to go brain dead before you finally get what you're after, I'm warning you, it takes an incredible constitution, especially when you keep getting items you don't need.. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1218788430

Well I got do-maru.. I really interested in slamming that upgrade on it from act5 and move on to act4 epic.. is it worth it?
