This is my Myrmidon's Pendant before upgrading:
This is the pendant after upgrading. I put the added stats at the bottom so it's easier to see:
I copied my character files and did this upgrade 4 times, with the exact same results. Not even the percent values are different.
Edit:
If you upgrade the already upgraded item a second time, you get new stats for it.
for example with tarwaters shade, I got these as prefixes:
- cleansing
- curative
- durable
- insulated
- light
- rigid
- scholars
- stout
- tempered
and these as suffixes:- of dexterity
- of essence
- of inertia
- of needles
- of reasoning
- of reprisal
- of spirit
- of strength
- of survival
- of vitality
- of willpower
that is from filling my transfer area (18). the item seeds are all identical (1968, same as blank original) though, which is interesting.you must be doing something different than me.
I've done a whole lot of testing and can now pretty much confirm that the affixes you receive are dependant on the item seed and the character you upgrade it with. I only had one small deviation from this with one affix on an item. Other than that it's always the same set of affixes but they change if you upgrade the item with a different char.
It's also noteworthy that the affixes get better the higher the difficulty is. When I tested it on Epic I got two different affixes on an item which basically did exactly the same thing as those on Legendary, just not as good.
I tested it with 2 characters on Legendary to see if it's only the item seed that counts for it or also the character.
After hours of rinse and repeat I finally got usefull affixes out of it and now have a 'Relentless Hector's Spear of Devouring' for my hardcore char. The devouring affix was the crucial part.
The 'Veteran's' prefix is also possible. As far as skill increase affixes go I only got some for the Rouge mastery. Either +1 or +2 to those skills.
I just copy and paste the char folder whenever appropriate. I load into the game, port to the portal closest to the forge, run in, upgrade, place portal to go to asgard, dump upgraded item into transfer storage.
I dont need any skill potions to buy, but i am not against it either. But that is another subject.
If you want specific affixes for your stuff it can really be a pain in the a.. because it likely takes hours upon hours to get them, like I did for my immortal Warden hardcore char - which thanks to the item upgrades is now nearly invincible in Legendary (with proper tactics ofc.).
My item was amulet.
Before upgrade -> after upgrade
- 27% -> 21% pierce res (-6%)
- 22% -> 30% elemental res (+8%)
- 21% -> 24% poison res (+3%)
- 34% -> 31% life leech res (-3%)
- 18% -> 18% attacks steal life (0%)
- 400 -> 545 HP (+145)
- 105 -> 114 Mana (+9)
New bonus: -8% reduction to all requirements
Overall i am not happy with this item. Its added quite useless bonus for me as well as improved one resistances for a price of other. If we can get only one bonus than i would like to be able to choose which one i want...
