Need help to figure out how to fix my bugged main quest line

I've been looking for answers for how to fix this and all i can find is to remove the .QUE files but all that does it gets rid of all of the quests and sets me back to the start but i cant even finish the "Save my horse" quest after that ?

I tried poking around with TQdefiler but that thing cant unlock quests so that dosent work...

Any ideas what i should do ?

What exactly is bugged about your main quest?

Aight so this happened yesterday on act 4. I was at the 2nd waypoing area with the witches, i managed to finish all of the side quests there and aquare the "eye" from the 3 witches.

I think i closed my game before giving the eye for the witch i had to and that somehow f'd up the questline.

Both of the doors leading to her are locked by quest. Killing the 2 sentries on the main entrance dosent unlock the door either so there is no way to get to her but one the time the main door was open but i couldn't talk to her.

Also it appears to be i cant finish any side quests atm aka. escort the light bearer to the bonfire.

I can finish the quest and all but it dosent get completed in the questlog.


The questlog itself dosent show me Act 2 and 3 and the progression from act 1 is completely wiped and i cant see any of my completed sidequests either from act 1.

I have bunch of screenshots of these so i'll try to upload those to the main post

You can delete a single .QUE file, an delete only your bugged quest.
You can search Clay's list which file you need (use Google translate if you don't speak Russian):

Ok...what did you do!? Seriously, this sounds like you wiped some questfiles from your save directory. I haven't seen a quest issue of this magnitude since 2007...

Yeah... i have no damn idea what happened. I havent fiddled with the quest files AT ALL neither used any mods since the release of the expansion and it happened yesterday somehow.

So im kinda as confused as you are

Right umm... By removing the main questline (
The price assigned by Medea ) did nothing else than just removing my only mainquestline in act 4 and well... there aint none anymore. Spoke to the ghost in the beginning in act 4 and nothing happens.

Im starting to believe im completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and its related to the first quest in the game as that sometimes gets bugged due to multiplayer. ( Save my horse! )

Do you have backup? Tools like TQDefiler and TQVault create backups under SaveData.

You can try to restore an old Quest.myw and QuestToken.myw. If you dont delete map.dat and fowdata, you will keep the map. Deleting *.que, Quest.myw and QuestToken.myw will remove all the quests, but your character and map will remain. If you do all the quests again, you will earn the skill points and attributes again, so you will have to remove these bonus points earned using defiler...

Well i have never used TQ defiler or vault during my whole TQ experience so i assume there arent any backups to reserve into.

So i quess i'll just remove the QUE files, QuestToken.myw and quest.myw ?

Make a backup of everything (no matter how broken it is), then remove *.que, QuestToken.myw and quest.myw.

If you bought the DLC, the game did a backup for you when you started it the first time, inside Documents.

Right i did this and it seemed to actually work in sence that i can start all over from act 1 now.

I quess this minor setback wont be doing too much as i'll just skip all of the side quests and rush trough the main one with all of the unlocked WP's

I had this same issue before, at Act 2 Epic, all my quest log was empty but only from Act 1 Epic, the full quest log of Normal was okay... I already reported it but I never got an answer and a quick fix for that, I tried to use my backup save but it didn't work, then I decided delete that char and start other char again, sadly.
