i once had a character that , when i reached epic with it , i still had a few Lesser Health Potions , and when i drank one when i had low hp , it healed for about 500 hp or even less
havent really dug into this topic too much
its better to just use the potions you find on the ground , since theyre most likely the ones that you should be using at that specific stage of the game
about the temp pets , as far as i know , there isnt any way to increase their summon longetivity
the closest you could get to that is having as much -% recharge as possible , so you could summon them more frequently
I'm thinking into making a high dps high hp regen build, might be fun if you can reach like 300-400 hp regen/s.Most i reached was around 70/s but had low to med gear so im thinking it might reach 300 with good gear
For the late Legendary, I'd rather recommend maxed resistances + some HP increasing gear. Potions will heal you much faster then regen. My Ritualist (Nature + Dream) has only about +4.50 HP regen, but 13 500 HP points (with maxed Heart of the Oak skill active) and maxed resistances (on the Legendary) except Pierce (+10), Bleeding (+32) and Vitality (+40). And I am good even though I am regularly farming (legendary) Dragon Lich/Typhon/Secret Passage (without mods). Can't remember last death - probably Hydra, when I lost my attention.
What if i make a templar?Wouldn't defence give me enough survivability and dream the damage? Focusing on hp regen and whatever resists i get besides that.
Or dream/nature defence/nature for heart of oak
Templar was my first character that I beat legendary in the AE with. I found it a little slow overall, but I mostly play with my partner in duo-games. It definitely works with relative gear independence (that is: there are no specific must-have items). Defense got toned down in the AE. Defense/Nature is very slow. I have one of those in early legendary and sort of parked it there.
If killing speed is low, you also take more damage because mobs live longer. Dead things do no damage (unless they are undead!).
