Trouble finding good bows
So, i've been playing for around 30 hours and i'm only up to the 3rd act (Very beginning and on normal), I haven't been able to find any really good bows and my damage is suffering, making it hard to continue. (EVery bow i've found is trash and any random spear I find is 2x better or more) I've just got skills in the hunting mastery so far, I haven't picked a second. I don't know what to do, i've farmed bosses and normal mobs, repeatedly teleported around to change the inventory of shops in hopes of finding a good bow. But nothing.

ANy tips?

If you can kill the act 2 Telkine (in Valley of Kings), he should eventually drop you a blue bow. Keep farming him. Buying a green vendor bow and sticking a relic or charm on it is a good idea, it may just take a while. Just keep at it. :)

Yep, it pays to spend days farming the Telkines, also, if you can muddle thru the normal mode, the next playthru you get several random finds of purple items! Thats when its best to farm the Telkines!! Epic playthrough

Farm Dune Raider Pillagers ( Iznu is best ) for an Eldritch's Bow. With a relic, it will out damage any blue bow you can find on normal. Bramblewood Bow from act 4 frogs is also quite nice.

Don't be shy about using spears if they outdamage bows. There's nothing wrong with that, you can switch when you find a decent bow. Although always keep in mind that bow = ranged, meaning you need to be a lot less tanky.

Besides what the others said (I'd ignore Telkine farming, isn't worth the effort) is to just play until Act 5. Get to the first town town (Medea's Grove). At that point you can teleport back and forth between the Rhodos and this, checking the refreshed vendor inventory in each. The weapon's merchant in Rhodos is bound to pack a green bow with decent mods eventually that'll serve you well.

Thanks for all the replies, I tried farming an Eldritch's bow for a few hours and didn't find one, so I tried kennyomg's suggestion and managed to find a pretty good green bow in no time at all, now i'm almost finished normal!

I rather use a mace or a spear any day over bows

Different classes use different weapons better.
