Need some tips for a noob(Harbinger)
Hi guys. I'm a noob to this game. Actually, I had a single experience to clear normal difficulty on its Original a few years ago, but still don't remember nothing about this game. :)

So I found my Original has been free-upgraded to Anniversary Edition, and I became to wanna play it once more til the end-game.

I found the Harbinger should be suit for me, and searched by Google this build.

Harbinger Build [www.titancalc.com]

But, still don't know on where to put attributes. Some said "it is up to your gear", but how can I know which gears should be good or which gears I could get even before play it?

So I need your tips on it.
1. How much attributes should be needed on Str, Dex and HP? I don't have any idea on the gears, so your expriences will be help for me. :)

2. And, the build I linked, is it suitable to current version?

Thanks for your replies in advance and sorry for my short English. :P

I would do 3:2 STR/DEX for a dual-wielding melee character. It's generally a good spread, though for an axe/mace wielding character that uses shields I would do 2:1 STR/DEX instead. But with your build, and dual wielding, 3:2 STR/DEX is favorable, I feel.

No points into HP, energy or INT. It's just not worth it.

For your build, I would only put one point in Ancestral Horn, and remove the point from: Master Mind, Sleep of Sands, and Distoration Wave (after normal). You'll be able to finish the build by level 66 (21 points from quest rewards), which is very doable. After that point it gets hard, but if you keep playing further on, the Battle Rage tree is where I would put points.

Happy to help! :) Let us know how it goes when you play! I really enjoy dual-wielding, and the Warfare mastery in general (Battle Standard is amazing). It is a more squishy style than shield+weapon, but I overall enjoy it more these days. Swords work well with it.

I feel like 3:2 STR:DEX is a bit of overkill for dw. I'd say 3:1 is perfectly fine; any more and it's wasted on Offense. Defense will be too low anyway, unless you gimp your damage. STR scales a lot with %add STR and % add dmg later in the game. Also LIFE is a very good option for Harbinger. At 25 points spent you're trading 625 hp for 5 damage + 25%. Considering you can get 25% dd on many items (relics, artifacts, etc) but HP caps around ~450 on the best of rolls it's a very good compromise.
