Thanks anyway :)
For weapon options, Coven Vex or Scepter of the Shadow King ( Sapros is also awesome )
Lots of ring options better than Adroit, even two Star of Elysium.
Artifact, Talisman of the Jade Emperor?
A breastplate with +skills like Overlord's Iron Shell, Legionnaire's Breastplate, Alexander's Cuirass, or Dionysus' Jerkin as long as you don't have to sacrifice the important resistances.
Or get pair of legendary Stonebinders Cuffs for + skills
From your gear I see you value resistances which is smart, but finding a balance of defense, resistances and +skills might give you better results.
Thanks for the advices, that's exactly what I was looking for.
I believe I'm underestimating the +skills impact on my performances. I'll look for the Alexander's Cuirass you suggested (interesting stats on top of the +2 all).
Regarding the weapon, I have a genuine question for you. The two you suggested (Coven & Shadow King) do look interesting, but I'm quite cautious, due to the lack of life leech. So far, having some on my weapon has been a HUGE quality of life improvement, as well as a notable strenght when fighting bosses will all cooldowns up. I'll give your proposal a shot though.
Do you have alternative ways to obtain life leech (I do have 4% on my gloves, but that's not enough imo) or are you playing completely without it ?
On the ring part, I would be genuinely interested in your reasoning behind your ranking Star of Elysium > Adroit.
SoE provides:
- Physical dmg (a bit less than Adroit, but let's call it a tie)
- Pierce/bleeding/poison dmg (that are silent in my case)
- Poison & Pierce res (that are capped in my case, I find those to be easy to cover - not silent, but not really the reason why I would wear this ring)
- Some Str (not much, but good nonetheless)
- Some serious HP, can't deny
- 5 HPS
Whereas Adroit provides so much more (in my opinion ofc):
- Physical dmg (tie with SoE)
- Raw dmg
- Poison & Pierce res (not that relevant, same as SoE)
- +10% dex (really appreciable, OA & DA are something I do value)
- +10% OA & DA (this one looks insane ! I come from Grim Dawn, where OA & DA are really serious stats to consider, having such an important impact. I don't know what are the maths here in TQ behind the OA & DA value and impact, but if it's a bit like Grim Dawn, then those +10% are insane.
- Not much health
- +5% dodge attack (I mean, why not ?)
All in all,I have the feeling SoE provides only HP, whereas Adroit provide some dmg + insane amounts of OA & DA (+% Dex and +% OA/DA) + a small bonus with the dodge.
Are you valuing the HP that much, that SoE is better than Adroit ? I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on that.
Thanks again for the insights
With +4 skills you will be taking less damage. Battle Standard jumps to 45% damage absorption from 36% without +skills. Dodge attack goes to 30%. Colossus 66% damage absorption. Ignore Pain 20% physical and pierce resistance. Armor Handling get a big increase as well.
For the rings, if you are using War Wind/Lacerate, that does high bleeding damage and at +4 skills hits 9 targets I believe, so there is benefit from the +%Bleeding. The resistances are a little higher but mostly it's the 700 hit points which I think out weighs the 10% Defensive Ability and 5% dodge. Defensive Ability is important but it only protects against melee attacks where as + hit points helps against all damage types. OA/DA isn't as extreme in TQ as GD.
An interesting ring option is Timaios x2 you would get the set bonus even though they are the same. You would gain 1400 HP's from the rings +40% of your base HP's and 20% physical resistance.
I'll give your suggestions a try (it will take some time to craft Jade Emperor though :D).
The Timaiosx2 idea is interesting, I'll farm a second one.
Thanks for the explanations, that was exactly what I was looking for with this thread.
Just finished doing that, and yep, that did take quite some time! :) It's for my next pet build, if only I could get the Archmage's Clasps to drop from the act2 Telkine (dropped leggins and Boar Snatcher dropped the chest).
well, here what I am using:
Head: Kael's Visage
Chest: Legionaire
Hands: Gauntlets of the Necrolord
Feet: Legionaire
Neck: Pendal of immortal Rage
Rings: Mark of Overlord + Brand of Soul
Weapon: Iris
Shield: Aionios
with this I have 4000+ dmg and 80% to all res. +3 to all skills .
but still I face difficulties to do HADE x5 ,,, how people can go trhout it without taking any dammage? anyway, the rest is super easy..I go through the game killing everythign in almost one shot. but any advice on improvements? BTW ..why I am not finding Achille Armor????
lol op
